Defensive 'Don't' Work!

Ultimately Freiburg 'got away with one' in last night's Europa League game in Germany. The penalty that 'never was' given being a source of much frustration for fans and those within the club.

However the fact that so much hung on a penalty that was contentiously denied is a classic example of why 'Moyesball' doesn't always work.

Setting your team up with a vast distance between defence and attack for a massive European game beggars belief, especially from a manager of David Moyes experience, but the serial defensive man did exactly as many feared and played for the draw!

Intermediaries have offered the 30-year-old World Cup winner to Barca, meanwhile, the AS Roma attacker is supposedly a target for West Ham United, are you sure?

Now, don't get us wrong, Paulo Dybala has been among the best players in Serie A for over a decade. The Argentine international rose to fame after joining Palermo in July 2012, Juventus signed him in 2015, and he enjoyed an excellent seven year stay with the Bianconeri before becoming a free agent in 2022.

Not having consumed recreational drugs since being a young ill-advised Musician, it is really easy to use the wrong street vernacular for drugs that are currently in use, but what ever their names are they ALL lead to some form of Psychosis with outcomes ranging from the humourous to the tragic!

Once upon a time, before 'soshall' media and a plethora of online media outlets, managers were generally given a 12 match window in order to be judged, as were strikers. Go back even further to pre-premiership days and that window was even longer!

Football is a results driven game now, no longer is a 'beautiful on the eye' observation good enough to sustain a club and its manager among football's elite clubs unless they are being bank rolled by a Pariah state or owned by investment Cartels that have huge fiscal resources.

Moyes Ploy Back Fires Spectacularly!

Some say it sounded like gun shots ringing across the canal that acts as a moat for the as yet unnamed London Stadium, others as that of a Range Rover Overfinch back firing, which overfinch strenuously deny, however others close to the club thought it sounded like a series of ill thought narcissistic bleetings.

Hot on the heels of his "I'm the one who wins the most games" comment, 'dead man walking' Hammers manager David Moyes compounded the alter reality he exists in by foolishly going public regarding his proposed new contract in East London.

Yet again UEAFA have shown their 'little club-big club' bias by scheduling both West Ham AND Rangers return leg Europa League fixtures for the ridiculous and dreaded 17:45 Hrs time slot. Only Liverpool were handed the 'traditinal' plum 20:00 Hrs slot!

Apart from the obvious two hours and fifteen minute variable, it should be remembered that due to normal European time zones that the 1st leg games actually kick off at 18:45 Hrs for the opposition, the situation is a complete travesty but will UEFA listen to Hammers and Gers fans? Will they heck!

Following yesterday 'statement of intent' from beleaguered Hammers manager David Moyes the minuet of the details are beginning to seep out and West Ham fans will be cock a hoop when they see how the bigger picture is being planned.

Moyes' statement was conspicuous by it's absence from the club's official site and the term 'subject to conditions' has reared its smoke and mirrors head! What does it mean exactly? Well Moyes has been given an escape route that will allow him to leave the club with dignity as oppose to the ignominy of being sacked or let go.
