A Merry Christmas To All Orgers & West Ham Fans

It may not have been the season everyone had been hoping for or expecting, but with the assistance of the 'wooden' twelfth man and a lot of lady luck recently, West Ham United find themselves in a relatively comfortable Barclays Premier League position, had it not been for seven points in three games within such a short space of time feelings might not be so optimistic! Admittedly Slaven Billic has had to deal with an 'arsenalesque' amount of injuries, but he has also had to contend with some dubious signings, some of his own volition. However, the London Scaffoldom is beginning to resemble home, albeit with a load of squatters running it on match days, and several players have now returned from injury so perhaps there are reasons to be cheerful. None more so than the signing of a long term deal by Reece Oxford, for too long West Ham have been an old tart in the transfer market, now it seems things are changing.
This coming transfer window will be challenging, both in retaining prized players and acquiring decent additions, one or two 'failures' will be shipped out including Simone Zaza who will probably score a hat trick on his debut for his new club! If Hammers can maintain mid table mediocrity then that'll be more than enough for most fans, there is always next season to dream after all. The boxing day fixture against Swansea could virtually confirm survival whilst at the same time condemning the Swans to the Championship. Whatever the outcome, West Ham fans are a unique breed, they will be there when the dust has settled, and the grass will always grow again.
A happy Christmas to you all! - Ed

Merry Christmas to you too Nev!!

However, I don't see a win vs Swansea as anywhere near safety for us. Glass still half empty here as our last 2 performances were more luck than good football but I'm always hoping things will get better. I have our clash with Swansea down as a 1-1 but Who knows, I could be completely wrong and we could Tonk them 5-0.....see, always hoping :)

Edit: I definitely wrote tonk and not Toni. Toni don't make sense :)
And Merry Christmas to everyone else. Can't believe I forgot that....oops

To all, I would love to see a great performance over a win at Swansea, having said that 6 points before we meet MU will mean we can just go out and play (thrash them). COYI

Merry Xmas Nev and a very happy and healthy new year. 4-1 over Swansea was just the start and I can still see us having a great second half to the season and qualifying for Europe.
