Lanzini can not sit on the bench, I would put him in the place of Feghouli. However we hope in a better performance than that against City. Come on powerful hammers

Though its the right call imo to start snoddy & coyote,im surprised lanzini is on the bench...he should start every game i reckon!!

is crook but still on the bench, shows like Antonio that even though they are not well they still want to play for the club. Hope he gets well as he is a must for the team.

I agree, excellent response to goals by Gabbiadini. But I find it incredible that another player we were interested in and we did not take, has made us goals, albeit offside. Very well Obiang, an assist and a goal

even though it was an own goal we still need to keep at them, if we relax you know what can happen. That's a positive move by Bilic , Lanzini on.

I agree, we've not allowed Soton any time on the ball - Something that we should've tried to do against Man City....Fantastic work rate today.

Just what the doctor ordered and it does' do our for and away any harm either. The new boys where solid but Snodgrass ran his socks off today, if he keeps that up he will be a great asset to the club. Altogether a terrific win on a ground we have never won at before so onwards and upwards.

Great result and it looks Slav got his selection spot on (Byram enforced absence aside) I think Lanzini needed a break and Antonio along with Snoddy full of running and who said drop Noble ? This game was right up his street a tad fortunate with his goal but you have to create in order to reap the benefits. A happy Hammer here!

Were unreal,noble should be dropped,slav should go,blah blah,blah
yes it was a poor performance against citeh, like its been against a few of the top sides this season
but we keep bouncing back after those defeats & getting decent wins lately, which proves we are
not a bad team with a decent manager imo....thats 6 wins out of the last 9!!

Slav told them they had to put the loss behind them and get on with it, and they did. Well done, Hammers!

To get a 3-1 win at the saints after the 4 nil loss at home, speaks volumes of the manager & players, imo we need to be a bit more patient with slav....rome wasnt built in a day!!

Deserved win by the Hammers. Obiang was the MOM no doubt. At least Fonte was much better today and along with Reid and Randolph, coped well defensively. Much better performance by Noble and along with all the midfielders, worked hard. Carroll and Antonio were thorns in the oppositions backsides. Snodgrass' work rate was impressive and along with Antonio really have brought more pace with their energy. We are close to safety , and just need another 3 wins to be assured of playing in the top flight next season.

excellent result watched the game in Popeys sports bar in Playa Blanca Lanzarote with another West Ham supporter who was feeling a little down after going to the Man City game on Wednesday before flying out here.
Told him we would win this one because Lawro predicted we would lose :-)
4pints later well pleased.
Passing was so much better today and the defence was nearly perfection!!!

Cant remember what the bar was called i watched it in,but i do remember a spud fan actually came up to me after
the game, shook me hand & said "westham should have won!!"....
I nearly fainted a spud fan with a bit of dignity!!;)

.this has been a topsy turvy season and I'm sure it will continue like that. When we win everything is rosy.when we lose its the end of the world.such is life being a west ham fan.wouldn't have it any other way.coyi

Not often the Hammers win at St Marys. I know Soton are in poor form, but so many times we have let poor teams get their lifeline by beating us. Southampton is not a poor team, just not winning atm. We did what good teams have to do and put a poor match behind us to come back and win away. Now we just have to get our home form in order. 9th in the league for now; who would have thought after the bad start this season that we'd be 9th at this point??? I don't expect us to go much further, but we look a totally different (and better) team now than we were before.
