Once again we find ourselves at this time of the season with absolutely nothing to play for ,pretty much safe and even a couple of wins wont improve our position ,well not by much anyway ,it would be so nice to be involved in a cup comp i know we still face a couple of the big boys and usually when we've got nowt else their our cup finals, the only thing is now Slav can experiment with some of the academy players that never seem to get a chance ,when you take into account the upcoming internatioal breaks and now the F A cup breaks it makes it a long bloody season

Im quite content at the moment.. we have had a great result at saints & I thought it was a really good performance against westbrom. We should have won,& lets not forget they have been the surprise team of the prem this year,& a hard team to beat...
I think we are improving all the time & can still make 8/9th position this season, look at the likes of palace & leicester who have been in freefall of late,we could have been down there fighting relegation with them...
Yes room for improvement & investment, but im a reasonably happy Hammer at the mo!!

I'm with you mate. We were staring down the barrel of a gun at one point. Reasons to be happy for me and the emergence of Lanzini from Payet's shadow i think will be massive for us

I'm happy all the time we're not fighting relegation or worse still actually falling through the trap door, again. It's turned into alright season.

It's all relative mate. It's fine when we had the start we did and our so called star throws a wobbly. Look at Leicester, last year champs this year relegation fodder. Give me mid table mediocrity over that any day. If we spend money in the summer I'd be disappointed with the same positioning. TBH its the same as it has always been apart from a few times over 40 years

of threatening to break into the CL and those days of Avram Grant are banished. I don't get myself beyond where we are but enjoy the moment for what it is. I'm more than happy for you to be unhappy though, please yourself.
THAT'S STRANGE I ANSWERED BURKIE BUT MY REPLY IS UNDER DTM.

it is true, after the victory against the Saints we are slightly better, but we still have to find the right continuity. Saturday we threw away three points after a good comeback. this pause can help

Maybe i failed to make myself understood properly ,im not unhappy about our performances, far from it ,i just wish we were involved in some cup run or other ,just for once ,we get to 10th -8th and thats it ,three 5 or 6 other poor bastards are struggling against goin south and we know what that feels like but at the end of the season if you beat the drop even on goal diff you feel like youve won the cup .
Our season is over ,just sayin

Reasons to be cheerful!
It could have been second season syndrome (Leicester)
We could have kept Payet who has flopped in France
we may be out of the cups but should be ok in the league
We do have a lot of money for next season (new striker?)
The team is playing better not as good as last season but better
The only downer for me is the board may not improve us next season but one can only hope that they don't keep looking in the bargain basement but go out and get one or two world class players (striker and a right back would be nice)

disappointed with our cup performance but hey we are West Ham and usually get dumped out of the cups !

Need to push for seventh place and might sneak into the Europa League.if man city or man united (or both) win their respective european competitions

when (not so long ago) we were awful to watch, could not put two passes together, I for one am very happy, now we do have a chance against the big boys and do not take a beating from the bottom clubs. With a full squad we can give the best a run for there money. COYI

I suppose realistically feeling safe from relegation at this stage of the season could be measured as progress. Of course the season is yet to be over, but I expect there are a lot of teams more likely to go down than us based on things so far.
