so rumour has it that sanchez has handed in a transfer request. i'd love it if this were true. can't stand wenger or his cry baby arsenal side. its just great to see the so called 'big clubs' also fall foul of player power. if true it means all wenger's waffling about lacazette coming in and sanchez 'perfectly happy and going nowhere' was a load of rubbish. its a case of one big name in, but one out….still treading water arsene. lovely to see people like wenger who are fond of poaching everyone's young players get treated like we were with Payet. lets hope arsenal refuse to sell (can they? his contract is up soon lol) and sanchez goes on strike. love it. put that in your pipe Mr Wenger and have a good long puff.

once the clubs ruled the roost but now player power is here to stay..its not ideal but as supporters can you really get behind a player if he wants out of the club of course not you only want players who actually want to play for you...we had it with payet last year looks like poo may have it with coutino everton had it with barkley(way overrated that boy)....but wengers is a special case the man just does not seem to realise he has to spend to even try and keep up he has only got in lacazette and some midfielder but sanchez knows its not enough and he wants to win trophies not just the f.a. cup but the league and champions league and that is not going to happen at the gooners.

but not in all cases...i am sure he has more money than he needs with what he earns at arsenal and sponsorship deals a player at his level i think enjoys the life of luxury he has but wants trophies/medals to look back on not just a rather large bank balance

yes clearly arnautovic was motivated by money more than trophies i mean hey he signed for us! but for sanchez of course if he gets his move to citeh or wherever he will get well paid but to me he is more interested in glory and winning things than the obvious financial boost to his bank balance

Wish we could go back to them earning good money and saving well for a pension they can draw on at 35 to live comfortably, instead of the morally incorrect bullshit of today where they earn enough for a lifetime and more in excessive style with the first contract. It's very obvious that this breeds excessive greed, fingers up to the working class and no loyalty. Would you bring yur kids up with those morals or want them to act like a lot of the modern day footballers? Embarassing and I'm falling out of love with the game I once wanted to earn me a living, yes a living and not a fortune!

I hate This whole greed is good attitude from the "glory" days of the 80s. Well said antkb, who really said greed is good? Gordon gecko? Or was it thatcher who just encouraged the thing.
