The penalty seemed to me a little gift. As the match was put, the draw was a valuable point, but the road is still long and we have to work hard and very much

apart from giving the last penalty away I thought Zabaleta had a decent game but I wish the rest of the team showed the same passion as Chicherito, Antonio and Rice. Fonte and Ayew are just shit and I am starting to think that Nobles time has come. Let's just prey that Lanzini gets better very soon and the board realise that they need at least another decent defender and midfielder before the transfer season is over or we are done.

can anyone here see anything different happening at newcastle next week? chicharito is a class above everyone and it shows...how noble stayed on the pitch was a miracle....arnie def cost us the game because we were playing well until he got himself sent off the effin prick...but fonte should never make the first team ever again you no reids going to be out for months not weeks because we are never that lucky...the ref well what can you say he saw some of the incidents and others he missed....ahh well lets go batter cheltenham eh!

Arnie stupidly getting sent off (stoke fans did say he was a bit of a hot-head!) giving away a needless pen as well..
TBF it was a good fightback 2nd half, but it happened too much last season as well, taking 45 mins to get going...
2 losses,7 goals let in & bottom of the league is not good at all...

I watched the game from the best place I could think of watching a West Ham game at the moment! A rugby field just down the road! Christ I don't enjoy the pain anymore. Welcome to West Ham joe hart 2 games 7 conceded! 7 conceded! Bloody hell we we have ANY defensive players? Here's on for the die hards. Complete this sentence. Why is this f#%cking club such a..........? A. Mess b. Joke, c. Disorganised rabble, or c. All of the above

Having watched MOTD, Mason was oblivious to ANY fouls by Southampton.

Tadic's tackle on Chicharito should have been the first red card. The replay showed that and that could have changed the whole game. Yes, West Ham should have been awarded a penalty for that handball as the arm automatically reached out for the ball. The penalty against Zabelata was harsh. It was a slight nudge and that player went down too easily. Joe Hart was very average and should have saved the first goal and done better with the first penalty. Antonio and Chicharito are definitely the best players in the team. Declan Rice had a pretty decent start. I agree that Noble is just short of pace and does make some awful tackles. Yes, he was lucky to end up playing the full ninety minutes. I think that he was not sent off because the referee had already blown up for an earlier tackle. Fonte was awful, and even Kouyate can fill in that spot when he returns. Cresswell is getting better and he put in some good crosses, resulting in an eventual goal. I think Masuaku should fill in for Arnautovic as he has certain skills that can open up a few defences. Need to start winning some games, but you have to give the team some credit for battling back to level it and in the end ten strong West Ham were beaten by twelve Strong (including the referee) Southampton.

Fonte was at fault for both of their first two goals. He got caught ball watching on the first one and just let Gabbiadini zip past him. Then he was beaten again and committed a silly and obvious penalty. 2-0. Arnautovic was also disgusting in his elbow. You can see that he got an elbow earlier; well, maybe that should have been red itself, but you NEVER retaliate, if you have any sense. Noble should have seen red, and so should Tadic. Thuggish game in the first half. Antonio, Chicharito, and Cresswell deserve some credit. Arnautovic was not playing too badly before his send off; If I'm charitable I put it down to overenthusiasm. Let's hope so. Fonte is TERRIBLE. Did not see anything that impressed me from Noble. Yes, our day will come, but it can't come too soon. Open our points account at Newcastle. COYI.

Hart - poor positioning for the first goal
Noble - Lucky to stay on the pitch, too old / slow, goes to ground too easily for tackles, no time for sentiment, not up to the prem standard
Fonte - first pen
Arnautovic - stupid elbow and deserved the red
Zab - stupid foul, deserved the pen
Noble - what was the idea of the whisper in Austens ear before the pen... yep, that really worked ...NOT!!

Best dish of the day, Little Pea and Rice :o)

Can we expect humiliation against Cheltenham Ladies College?

I almost wrote about that too, but since he made a couple of nice stops later in the game, I let it slide. But he's caught in no man's land on the first goal and can't cover his far post. Gabbiadini only had to slot it in.
