Tottenham Hotspur followed in West Ham United's footsteps by moving out of their home ground into one of England’s landmark stadiums. Though whilst the Hammers deal with the London Stadium lasts 100 years, Spurs’ move to Wembley Stadium is only temporary whilst White Hart Lane gets its £750 million redevelopment.

Once Tottenham’s stadium is rebuilt it will have a capacity of 61,000. The ground had stood there for the past 118 years and got an emotional send off in Tottenham’s final game last season, but It wasn’t quite the same as leaving the Boleyn Ground one final time after our 3-1 victory over Manchester United in 2016.

Betfair have put together the below graphic comparing the two Premier League stadiums and overall the London Stadium comes out on top for supporters.

Their comparisons state that the distance is closer for fans to get to, though they are basing this on all West Ham fans living at the Boleyn Ground.

Tottenham season ticket prices have dropped this season, which makes sense given the temporary and significantly increased capacity. They had an attendance of 67,000 for both their Premier League game versus Burnley and their first Champions League match this season, a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.

When Mauricio Pochettino’s side come to the London Stadium on Saturday 23rd of September they can expect to be part of an attendance of around 56,000 – the same figure that attended our 1-0 win over our London rivals last season and the same number that turned out for Monday night’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Despite our victory over Spurs last season, Betfair football bets currently have the visitors as short favourites at 1.66.
