Andriy Yarmolenko is set to have his move to West Ham United from Borussia Dortmund rubber stamped following the first part of his medical at Hammers' Swiss training camp, the deal although agreed in principal is thought to rely on a second mandatory medical back in the UK to comply with various FA and insurance policies. The initial fee will be in excess of £17 Million rising to as much as £23 Million with performance and appearance add ons. Like many players with a relatively high price on his head Yarmolenko failed to settle following his high profile move from Dynamo Kyiv to Borussia.

Yarmolenko's season at Borussia Dortmund was blighted initially by injury but then by the new manager's preference to use other strikers, and while the 27 year old may have failed in the Bundesliga he managed to crack in a goal every other game for the Ukraine while on International duty.

"When we had the opportunity to sign him, we did not hesitate, because he really is the kind of player we were looking for," said West Ham director of football Mario Husillos. "I think Manuel Pellegrini is the perfect coach for Andriy and his style of play."

I see what you mean but is Zaha more suited to German football but maybe not as strong in the Premiership? Without seeing him play with and only reading about him and his stats it isn’t enough for me to form an opinion. To be fair to Pel I’ll trust in his expertise because I haven’t a clue. Just enjoying a whiskey on a cold winter evening, it’s so easy to be relaxed about stuff at times like this. Still role on summer.

Has to be the best window ever and the signings have not yet finished. We are talking quality players here, not mediocre.Looks like Pellegrini is out to transform this Westham side. I could only ever see Arnie,Lanzini and probably Hernandez secure first team places anyway,so still a few places to target.Top 6 looks genuinely on this coming season...happy days.SuGo, better late than never, finally we are seeing some serious money being spent.Anderson would be the icing on the cake, shame about Fernandes staying with Sporting Lisbon, but I think there are more surprises in store.

We all must look positive about this,as it is showing that Pelligrini is going to transform the team, and Sugo are backing this.Im enjoying every bit of this window so far,and its not over yet.Get this lot to gell together, and we will be a force, something we havent been for a while, though Slavs first season was good.In Pelligrini i trust,he knows his stuff, and is an established manager,a winner. Im actually looking forward to this season,as i havent enjoyed the last two at all, then i may even warm to the stadium more COYI !!!!!!!!

Sorry for being the voice of negativity, but too many players needing to settle could very much backfire! So these players probably should be starting gradually.id say no more than 5 new guys in the starting line up for the first game.

The media seem to think that Arnatouvic's departure to Man United is a forgone conclusion.
Again, if the owners mentioned that he is not for sale and Arnie said that he was happy to stay at West Ham, should other clubs not have to back away from this. Otherwise, if the rumours are correct, then we will be losing both Arnie as well as Antonio. The signings are one step forward and the departures will be two steps back unless we get a quality striker to replace Arnatouvic. The club should have said that they will let him go for 100 million pounds.

Quality signing if he can stay healthy. Would love to see him come good. Still would like to know if Super Mario is returning to us.
