West Ham Fast Becoming The Must Reach Destination For Stars

Events are moving from the sublime to the surreal at the London Stadium, someone must have been putting something in the water both at E20 and at Theydon Bois home of Hammers supremo David Sullivan. Nothing else could possibly explain what on earth is going on, David Sullivan and club co-owner David Gold have been notorious for their lack of net spend during their ownership of West Ham United and also at their former club Birmingham City, so the current whirlwind of transfer activity is indeed mystifying to say the least.

In addition to a quite frankly astonishing transfer window for the club so far, there are even more prospective arrivals in the form of Hector Herrera, Thiago Maia, Ignacio Camacho, Danilo Pereira and just for good measure Lucas Perez, crikey mikey what happened to the 'paltry' £75 Million budget that new manager Manuel Pellegrini was handed, talk about the loaves and seven fishes!

All this business beggars the question 'was there ever a £75 Million budget in the first place?'. The answer is emphatically NO, as we have mentioned on several occasions Gold and Sullivan are shrewd operators who know only too well how to 'fleece a mug' of their money having been fleeced on several occasions themselves. There is no way they would have made their true intentions known, even if now details are emerging of just how long they were planning this season's assault on the Premier League's top six, there is also the small matter of the 'pay day loan' syndrome which we have also dealt with in depth before.

For the time being the much maligned London Stadium is perceived to be one of the must reach destinations in Europe for a whole host of talent, bravery begats bonuses for those who don't fear to tread, and for whatever reason the Hammers hierarchy have lost their fear!

Long may it continue- Ed

With only a few days left in the transfer window it will be helter skelter to see who else comes in. I must admit I never thought I would see the day when we would have players wanting to force their way out of a club to join our mighty club but if reports are true then we have a chance to be a top six team which is what we all want. Wouldn't it be fantastic to finish above the scum this season.

Just goes to show for us to attract players at the next level it isn't the owners or the stadium (as Sullivan said) it's actually the manager. A top managers attracts players! I can't believe bilic, Moyes or allardyce could these players here.

The only way AC gets off our wage bill before the end of his contract is if he dies and even then there's probably a ridiculous life insurance policy in place!
