Moore Than A Good Window For West Ham And Pellegrini

Admittedley the last day of the transfer window wasn't particularly spectactular compared to other clubs, but that is because all if not most of West Ham United's business was concluded relatively early, reminiscent of the way Manchester United used to conduct their transfer dealings when Sir Alex was in charge!

The sale of Quinna to fellow Premiership rivals Watford was a bit of a shocker, however it seems the move was 'agent generated' and Hammers had to make the best out of a bad deal, the measerly £1 Million fee is at least rumoured to have a decent purported 25% sell on fee, although that has yet to be officially confirmed. The very astute signing of Lucas Perez and the somewhat mystifying signing of Carlos Sanchez rounded off a very successful transfer window for the Irons, much credit is also due to the 'Huse', Mario Husillos, who has been instrumental in bringing the 'next level of players' to the London Stadium that fans have so desperately wanted to see for such a long time.

Although it might seem to be clutching at straws even before the season starts, at least Hammers' new signings will be a week or so ahead in training together as opposed to those players that other clubs have just managed to purchase at the last minute. When it comes to playing as a team those extra few days might prove crucial, especially in the early weeks of the season.

Overall there can be few West Ham fans dissapointed with the way things have panned out, begrudgingly credit must be given to the board who have at last opened their wallets! Quick call the Police! - Ed

We spent then realise Fulham/Wolves spent as much you then you begin to realise just what it will take to stay in the league,we have a tough start to the season so it will be interesting to say the least as to how the players gel as a team now the real action begins.

shame it was a permanent move, a loan might have been better if this kid really does meet all the expectation.

Was very pleased with the early business that was done. Fredericks & Wilshire great business. I think Yarmolenko & Balbuena could be absolute steals. Jury will be out on Anderson & Diop. Would like to have seen Drinkwater added rather than Sanchez. But hey, we can't complain after previous windows. But then you see the likes of Fulham & Wolves activity and wonder?
Will money be available in January should we need reinforcements? Hopefully the day of the journeyman has gone.

Started out way too agro, got a red card, didn't play in the correct position--seemed a bust. But whoah has he ever come good. I think Anderson and Diop should be given time to prove themselves.

Still can't believe the kind of money thrown around. Fulham? Wolves? Where'd they get the dosh? Can it be that we have just seen the new normal????

It had to happen as his agent and the lad himself were refusing any kind of deal from us so a million quid plus add ons may not seem a lot but that will only be the case if he fulfils his potential and many do not.We have for once not gone the bargain basement way in our dealings unless you include the sanchez deal which for me is a strange one but with the new manager and his team clearly aware of what he can do we have to trust in there judgement. One thing for certain though is we can go into this season with a little more Optimism than the last few.

I think Sanchez was bought to finally rid us of Carroll when they start training. If he injures him and puts him out for the rest of the season itl be akin. To shooting a horse. So I'm gonna nickname him shotgun. "Andy, shotguns gonna get you"
