Carroll and Snodgrass both elbowed and now Arne brought down in the box and nothing. If your going to be bias and a cheat you should have some discretion.

after half time, I would take Obiang off and give Nasri his debut or bring Noble on. Even if he takes Carroll off because he ain't done much there has to be better options than Perez.

From a terrific December to a shocking Jan. We need to piss off a few players and buy some half decent ones.

I really think we miss Balbuena more than we think, he and Diop had a good understanding and where building a great partnership but with Oggy, Diop seems out of sorts.

Keep getting away holding in the box, won't be long before he gives away a penalty

Looks like Noble is turning into an impact sub for us. Set up both goals for us and it always looked like something was on every time he got the ball.

I keep on saying it ,Anderson, in the first half he couldn't be arse but in the second after Pell got stuck into him he came into his own ,got o the ball a lot more and really showed his class ,idont think he should cross the half way line anymore , he's usless at defending ,stay much further up and pick up the loose balls then do what you do best ,run at them ,on your true form there isn't a defense in the world that wouldn't shit themselves

Burkie 1

I was disappointed when I saw Antonio being benched. But why has no one even mentioned his contribution in both those goals? He tried to wrap it up after Anrnautovic netted both those goals, with that impressive run of his. He had every right to but he skied that ball. IMHO he should have flicked it to Arnautovic and it would have been game, set and match to West Ham. But Perez once again was pedestrian and really Diangana would have been a better option. Real disappointment about those two goals being conceded, as there were no West Ham players guarding the left goal post, especially in the manner in which the first goal was conceded. That is where the Captain should have made that decision to have someone like Cresswell stationed in that end of the goal. Yes, we should give Noble some credit with his contribution, but I particularly liked Antonio's energy and pace, where he was a thorn in the side of the Brighton left back. Once again West Ham played with ten men as Perez had about three touches of the ball and gave them away on two occasions, while the third was just a routine one. Anderson came to life in the second half and should have put West Ham ahead with what would have been the goal of the week with such an impressive run. Yes, that tackle on Carroll should have been a red card, especially after carroll's innocuous one against Burnley that saw him receive a yellow. Then the other miss was that deliberate elbow on Snodgrass. But I agree that Arnautovic's going down was a penalty as I watched the recording again in slow motion and he was being dragged down. The same referee red carded Masuaku for spitting in that League Cup game last season where he got a 5 match ban. Still do not know why Masuaku is not being selected on the left wing, and Anderson getting a more upfield role??

The only place for masuaku is on the left wing, well away from left back!!totally different animal when played in his proper position

Great game and fantastic atmosphere at the BoM, credit to the Sand Dancers, full support on a school night is good going.

First half was poor from both sides but Houghton must have been pleased as it looked like they set up to get a draw, very quick to run us down and held a strong high line giving our defenders no room and pressurising Fab into long kicks. I thought we were poor in our intensity and looked heavy legged. Even Anderson couldn't find a pass but was pressurised into the Hollywood pass rather than the simple stuff. Whats clear for me is that Rice and Obiang are too similar. Excellent defensively but lack that killer pass to open a defence.

Delighted to see Noble come on, made a real difference has he has the brain to make that pass, not so impressed to see Perez but playing deeper than Carroll allowed Arnie room to spearhead the attack. Antonio made a great impact, like Masuaku he is no full back but upfront out wide hes a real hand full.

Credit to Brighton, took their chances well, another time we would have just capitulated but this is a sterner side and the comeback was brilliant! Unfortunate not to go on and win it!

On wards and upwards, keep the faith, bring on Arse!
