Gomez And Rondon, Now You're Talking, Hammers Fans Ecstatic!

For every winner there is a loser, and West Ham United fans will be feeling they are currently winners as opposed to Newcastle United fans who will definitely feel as if they are on the losing side, at least in the short term!

Rafa Benitez's exit from Newcastle, while hardly being surprising, could not have come at a better time for West Ham as they try to get their summer business concluded as soon as is humanly possible. Speculation has been rife with regards the on off transfer of Maxi Gomez, however Hammers have been handed not one but two extra strings to their bow.

Benitez's departure means that any deal to bring Solomon Rondon back to the toon from West Brom will have been highly compromised, leaving Hammers in the driving seat to secure the 30 year old's signature. An additional benefit of acquiring Rondon is that Celta Vigo will start getting the jitters as to whether a club who has already acquired a new striker will actually need another, especially a player who's club is insisting on receiving 'full whack' in his transfer fee.

If the Hammers hierarchy sanction the move, then this really could see the club finally moving to the 'next level' fans have been promised but not really seen for years and years, watch this space!- Ed

Rondon would be the perfect signing for us in the short term and hopefully stopping dead in its tracks any hint of Diop being sold to fund the move for Gomez as you had rumoured the possibility of that happening...and on top of that i would give Arnies brother a call and say do your job mate and get him a new club we dont need any more shit stirring in the new season from you and him put the shoe on the other foot and give him a taste of his own medicine

Surely you jest mate...yes he may not of had a bad last 4 months of the season but in all honesty what i have seen of him on T.V. and in the flesh is a very lightweight whiner who gets knocked off the ball to easy IMO

Rondon doesn't excite me to be honest ,and didn't he say he didn't want to come earlier in the summer and 30 year old no resale value

Rondon in my opinion isn't a step forward, its a step sideways, the same old level we have gone for before and hood winked into believing we have done well, and his age as well isnt going for him,i would give him a miss.

But its better than having to sell Diop in order to get an untried striker in the prem...if we cannot afford then cut your cloth accordingly and go big next summer.

Lets throw caution to the wind and hope we go big this summer, why wait till next year,i wouldn't want to see Diop go,i don't think he will anyway.

I'd take a chance on Maupay from Brentford he's the bees knees and ticks all the boxes for me,young and good goal poacher he's only gonna get better in the right team i'm sure.
