West Ham United have finally begun to learn their lesson about signing injured players, this is apparent by the club deciding that their approach to re-sign ex-keeper Darren Randolph from Middlesborough was only going to end in tears.
Lukasz Fabianski has a thigh injury, David Martin has a thigh injury, and guess what? Darren Randolph also has a thigh injury, so why risk signing him? It is common knowledge that Hammers recently appointed manager, David Moyes, would rather play Doris the tea lady in goal than call upon the services of supposed back up keeper Roberto Jiminez Gago!
Joseph Anang is the highly thought of keeper for the U-23's, and represents a far better option than Randolph, namely because, apart from being a good player, he is young and he is fit. The treatment room has been a well known hang out for generations of West Ham players, isn't it refreshing that someone has actually looked at the situation and seen the folly in panic buying yet another player with an injury.
Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is also a far better option, and West Ham have reportedly already submitted a £7 million bid for the 29-year-old, which manager Neil Harris is willing to accept as it frees up funds for additional players- Ed
