£12 Million For Top Striker £18 Million For Rubbish Ayew listening?

Swansea City have upped their offer for Andre Ayew to £18 Million for the player they sold to West Ham for £20 Million, and most Hammers fans would say "take it". Ayew's transfer to West Ham from Swansea began badly, he was Hammers record signing and his time at the club began badly as he got seriously injured on his debut match against Chelsea. When he was eventually fit he was used sparingly by Slaven Billic and latterly by David Moyes but never won the fans over who were astonished at the price paid for the attacking midfielder.

With rumours abounding about massive bids for several English based players, there is one bit of business that most Hammers fans find baffling, and that is why on earth have the club not snapped up Smolov" The English speaking Russian striker is available for £12 Million and is keen to ploy his trade at the London Stadium, and with the impending departure of Ayew along with the already gone Diafra Sakho, there is a desperate need for striking reinforcements, as David Moyes has clearly run the rule over Toni Martinez and found him wanting.

Hammers have apparently asked to take Smolarov on loan initially, but surely funds are available to make the transfer a permanent one now! At £12 million he represents a bargain in today's market, and even if he should fail and be unable to adapt to the Premier League he would surely be able to be sold on without too much of a loss.

Of course in amongst the transfer frenzy West Ham have the less than small matter of a crucial match against london rivals and fellow relegation strugglers Crystal Palace on Tuesday night at the London Stadium, Free Bets Uk are offering some interesting odds on the outcome given Hammers outrageous injury list, along with the damaging six match suspension that Authur Masuaku received for spitting at an opponent in the FA Cup tie against Wigan Athletic.

No one can accuse David Moyes of not 'giving the youth a chance', he has taken it upon himself to run the rule over as many of the youth players that he can reasonably do and has quite obviously concluded that most aren't quite up to it yet. Only Declan Rice has emerged as a serious first team candidate and possibly Josh Cullen, Sead Hakserbanovic arrived with great expectations placed on him, however he has yet to feature for David Moyes, it appears that proven players like Morgan Schneiderlin are more to his liking.

The Barclays Premier League is a bear pit of desperate and disparate clubs from tenth down, all the clubs are willing to make serious investments in order to avoid the dreaded drop, some more than others! The West Ham United hierarchy, and in particular David Sullivan are not stupid, they recognise relegation would be a financial and PR disaster of apocalyptic proportions but maybe they have been left behind in the football world, cheeky offers don't work anymore because there is always someone more desperate who will go the extra mile, sometimes they lose but sometimes they don't. The transfer market is an ever increasing board game that is now run on similar lines to stocks and share trading, old school logic has gone out of the window as clubs chase the rainbow.

Maybe its time for the two David's to sell on the club that they have already sold down the river! - Ed

Take the money thats if he wants to go but here we are a day before the transfer deadline and the headline grabbing schneiderlin £20million deal turns out as usual to be more smoke and mirrors with sullivan doing the usual prefer to loan with option to buy and everton do not want to do that.....same goes for the russian guy £12million is chickenfeed in todays market and i no nothing of this player so as to if he would be a good fit in the prem who knows...but sullivan and co need to learn if you want to stop this nonsense you need to do the proper business in the summer and not on the cheap as they always do hence the now bad situation we face....loan to buy ehh so much for the whole iconic world class stadium that will help us compete with the big boys lol

thing is if we say take the money we are assuming that money will buy someone better. with this board chances are they will take the money and use it to pay themselves. they just dont spend. 20 mill for schneiderlin, are they serious or just the usual pretend bids to make us believe they want to spend but have little intention to. schneiderlin will be expensive in wages and add ons, can see this one fizzling out.

With the flood of money coming into the game from TV deals and our total lack of spending, it seems clear enough to me that the 2 Dave's are recouping their money first before investing in the team. Sale of stadium money - back pocket, transfer fees for remaining fit players - back pocket, 2years fees for season from ST holders - back pocket. The big and little show ws funny in the 70's-80's but the joke is now squarely on the fans of this great club and the porn barrens are slowly eroding the identity of the club they claim to support. Pair of wa*****!

They make fools of themselves and nobody takes them seriously..been going on for too long....the injury list is a horror show right now and you never no when the next will hit but having a better squad not just loans and youth to rely on would surely not make this such a desperate situation and you should plan that all in the summer..again you cannot legislate for injuries to whom and how long for but having a squad with better depth to it has to be the answer and not just number wise but quality wise too

Top six,or any well run club does not perform like this. That is what Sullivan reckoned we would be in a few years. We are two years in,and are just as far away from this as we were at Upton Park, could even be further away.We cant attract top players, because what we have as a team isn't appealing to work with, and the owners don't come accross with the cash.....................The clubs a shambles, from top to bottom.

Hehe , i would rather have one of our younsters on the pitch ! I guess we will all be waiting with baited breath until the window closes , not!!!
