Apparently Deal Nearly Done On Top Striker

We were going to go live with an astonishing article based on what was supposed to be realistic information, however given that it is the time of the summer solstice and the Glastonbury Festival we eventually assumed someone had been already engaging in their pre-festival warm up activities. However this story has some strange 'legs' on it given who might be the player involved, suffice to say the two Davids love a coup especially Mr Sullivan! What would you do as an owner of a club who albeit wealthy cannot begin to compete with mega wealthy Uber Billionaires? The move to the London Stadium was a stepping stone, but the Hammer's hierarchy face a club's future changing decision if they go down the bridge too far option that they have supposedly been presented with, it would essentially mean parting with a percentage of the club to finance the deal in some way shape or form. A player of this magnitude could only be Carlos Tevez or heaven forbid Cristiano Ronaldo! however as all Hammers fans know it will be Olivier Giroud at the best, not that he is a bad option although he does fit in to the expensive with little sell on value bracket associated with recent West Ham signings, apparently he will be under going a medical after a family holiday, we shall see, but a 'proper player is definitely about to arrive, a certain Mr Sullivan will be imploding having to sit on the details! You can find some interesting odds for how West Ham United will fare in the transfer market as well as odds for the new season at free bets on Freebets.com, there is always an inevitable clamour for news of signings but fans desperate to hear transfer news, especially when other clubs appear very active should remember last season's smoke and mirrors news about players coming in, some say it was to sell season tickets although that might be disingenuous to the board! However there is no such problem this year with a massive waiting list to take up those who didn't renew, Pablo Zabaleta arriving at the London Stadium might not seem very spectacular, but Manchester City are replacing him with an expensive signing who is two years older! So fears that he is past his prime would seem to be unfounded. The astute signing of a 'proper' leader of the medical team is also a canny bit of business, one which will pay dividends in the future. And speaking of the future, last season's recruitment was quite frankly underwhelming at the least, too much emphasis was placed on 'bulking up', this was obviously a massive failure, hopefully lessons will have been learned because quality not quantity is what is needed, and if the club want to swell their numbers, why not use some of the once fabled academy's players? They cannot be worse than Zaza,Calleri, Toure and Arbeloa! Nordveit was a different kettle of fish though! Reece Oxford has been sent to Germany as part of the plan to have him be captain of West Ham United, he has been 'groomed' from an early age for greatness, but unfortunately greatness might elude him due to a future career threatening injury from an over zealous player out to make a point! Let's hope not. Fans have got to get used to a board that is finally keeping their powder dry, it might be frustrating but in the long run it will probably be the best thing, bet young Jack is horrified at the prospect of being recalcitrant! - Ed

Bilic will once again have his work cut out with average players by the time the season starts and we have signed Giroud as our marque signing and possibly a young Nigerian player plus the usual loans and players not quite up to premiership standard. It was what we did last season and I see no difference this time as Sullivan in particular cant get his head out of the bargain basement and go for a few quality players. So quantity it will probably be again, six or seven out and six or so in.
Mid table at best if we do the same as last season in the transfer market.
Be prepared for yet more spin as we fail to land a real marque signing yet again :-(

A D Bonds

Ha ha. I think I might have stumbled on why the board have stalled on buying iheanacho and Henry the Nigerian. Latest news is West Ham are hopeful sakho is looking promising to comeback injury free for the new season and Andy Carroll is currently injury free. It's hoped Gary Lewin could keep these 2 fit next season. So inshort the board think itl be like getting 2 new strikers and won't need any others.

theo walcott is the one we want to shock everyone with in the transfer window....wenger willing to let him go as he prefers chamberlain and hopes to scupper any attempt by liverpool to get him...lets see walcott has injury probs not a big goalscorer so looks like a win win for us!!

can't see this, if it happens, being the right deal for us. Giroud makes sense; he can still do what he does best. He has never scored LESS than 11 league goals in any season at Arsenal. Walcott scoring more than 10 is a much bigger gamble. He's only done that once in his career.

Ha ha, just read the board are prepared to pay 50 mill on one player if he is exceptional. Does anyone really believe that?
