Crikey oh Mikey, they've even gone and done it! West Ham United have obliterated their transfer record with the eye watering purchase of Felipe Anderson from 'hardball fc', in what must have been one of the most protracted transfers ever Hammers finally have their 'golden heeled racer' in the dazzling form of Felipe Anderson. Of course being a new massive signing for the club he will have to endure the standard 'injury initiation test' required of all new signings which requires the new signing to sustain an injury as soon as possible, in fact past winners including David James have upped the ante by getting injured well before their first top flight team game.

The massive transfer fee involved is a worry for those of a nervous disposition, what if he does get crocked early doors? That is just about half the transfer budget blown, but the point is to get quality you need quality, that is the way things work. At Christmas the butchers selling Poultry with the biggest queue outside becomes the place people want to check out, whereas the place that has sparse attendance is deemed as second rate, it's human nature. Without wanting to continue the analogy too much longer the point is West Ham has suddenly become an attractive destination again for a whole host of reasons, not least the manager in situ Manuel Pellegrini.

On the subject of massive expenditure for a player, when West Ham purchased Dean Ashton for £8 Million back in the day , according to a number cruncher associate of ours that expenditure was the eqivalent to £40 Million if you take in to account revenue streams in place at the relevant times. So in effect whilst the Anderson deal seems massive, and it is a huge deal, it is actually no more of a gamble than when 'Deano' was signed.

It is to be hoped that Anderson fairs better, and that he avoids clumsey players from his own team falling on him and inflicting a career ending injury on him while training with his national team, but this is West Ham! - Ed

Just watched burkies you tube video. It did make me laugh. Let's just say he's no Robert snodgrass is he? Doesn't run just glides! This should raise the atmosphere in the ground if we can get him on the pitch!

Has Anderson actually been confirmed??? Bit worried with Chelsea bringing in Sarri. Hoping he does not put the spanner in the works.

We doubt if the move will be officially announced before the world cup final, after all, give the driscolls their moment of glory! They must be having nose bleeds from the expenditure and you can bet your bottom dollar that they will want to eek out as much positive exposure as possible from his unveiling, they might even be able to say "told you so" even if their delivery of quality is two years overdue.

Sully,Brady & gold all together now "We told you so!!"...they will be loving it...its only taken them 8 years to do it,but its a promising start at least

Once these 2 signings are announced that will be 7 players in. But I still feel we are short? Are we going to see a 4-4-2 with Aunautovic & Hernandez up front? Not played the loan card yet either. Though we have to be careful of FFP.

What a video! Silky. Great ball skills, awarenes, killer pass in the final third (Arnie will appreciate that). Mayby what I like best is the change of direction and acceleration. Wow.

I guess Anderson will be the 7th signing. Just signed Balbuena from Corinthians.
Give credit to the board for being the busiest club this season. Obviously, the board have full faith in Pellegrini.

36 mill, rising to 41 with add ons,now imo that is a great deal in todays ridiculously inflated market...that wouldnt even buy Neymars armpit!!I tell you what is good as well no crossed hammers by him whilst he has been unveiled, god that makes me cringe at the signings of new managers & players!!;)

is writhing on the ground in pain. It was just barely touched. He could die actually. He's screaming in agony. It's gonna cost a lot more than 41 million for that.

There's always a sense of edgyness about our big signings with our injury record past manedgers would hold them back and give them 20 minuet's here and there ,fuk that policy now, throw them on we've got more players now than we can count ,
