Hammers Might Do Well To Pull Forward Lanzini Signing

Manuel Lanzini’s parent club Al Jazira have recruited former West Ham technical director Gianluca Nani as their new sports director, which could be a can of worms! There is plenty of bad blood between Nani and co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan, Nani was dismissed from his highly paid role at the club in a cloud of secrecy. Almost all of the deals that Nani oversaw were reversed as soon as possible when the two Davids took over, one or two of the deals were extremely suspicious to say the least! It would seem prudent for the West Ham hierarchy to pull forward the permanent signing of Lanzini to January rather than wait until the summer, this would head of interest from Liverpool among others, and ensure the deal goes through before Nani gets his feet comfortably under the table.
Of course the dreaded FFP will be stretched, but increased merchandising and advance season ticket deposit money from the Olympic Stadium should see the club being able to balance the books, Lanzini is a 'little jewel' that the club cannot afford to lose, and even though the deal to take him permanently was in writing, it was authorised by Abel Braga, not Nani! - Ed

Good foresight there Nev... this just reeks of a potential stitch-up waiting to happen. Get him signed now before Liverpoo get there!

Ahh the old conspiracy theory, surely if it's cast iron unbreakable and in writing like has been stated on numerous occasions it doesn't matter who signed it. As for Lanzini I saw a quoted statement just today from the official website which says he wants to play in th Olympic stadium. I'd jump at the chance to sign him asap but if we can't I'm not about to panic either. I don't subscribe to the poo interest anyway.

I don't care about theses water tight contracts , if he decides not to sign no one can make him. If he comes back into the team and carries on playing as good has he has been someone will come in for him. If say one of the so called big sides come in for him and can offer European football and bigger wages who would you sign for. Get him signed up now .

Football is probably the one business where contacts and agreements mean absolutely sod all!!! We've been stitched up in the past, remember Yossi, I'll sign on the dotted line Benayoun. All done and dusted until Liverpool came sniffing and off he went. IMO this has to be priority No.1 come January. Get the chequebook out, give them the agreed fee straight away and put the uncertainty to bed.
