Stick Or Twist For Pellegrini Against Bournemouth?

Fresh from the televised mauling by liverpool last Sunday, Manuel Pellegrini's West Ham team debut at the naming rights unsponsered London Stadium keen to make amends for the 'brutal' events up at Anfield. A four nill loss would normally force a manager, not least a new manager, to reassess their approach but that is not the Hammers manager's way.

He might be accused of stubborness, but his brand of football when executed properly by the right players is not only a joy to behold but more often than not extremely successful, however it will take time for his 'new look' West Ham to gell, Pellegrini will already have his team in mind for the first home game of the season against opponents who will be altogether different from last week's, but that is not to assume that they will be a walkover in any way shape or form!

Mark Noble by his own admission was not up to the races at Anfield, and in normal circumstances would expect to be benched bearing in mind the quality players available in his position. Also does Pellegrini stick with Fabianski in goal as opposed to fan's favourite Adrian San Miguel?

It seems ridiculously early to mention it, but Saturday's match is a bit of a 'must win' game if only to steady the nerves! - Ed

This is West Ham all over.It seems to be and has always been the case, that if we lose, its never a situation of dust yourselfs down and try again, the fear of losing again is immense, and the rot sets in very quickly, and then go on a run of losing,so not wanting this so early on.I totally understand that Saturday is already a must win game.We as supporters, and especially those that attend games regularly can feel the tension around the ground, its powerful,i i wouldnt be at all surprised, that if we all could be put on heart monitors, our heart rate would be higher than any other supporters, the clubs a bloody health hazard lol!!!

I agree... Fear of losing but as I have bored everyone in the past, starting a season away from home to a top side will always instil the fear factor for the next game. I have only known nervous times in the LS, even first season 2 up against Watford just knew it would end in tears. Supporting West Ham is not good for your health. I prescribe 3 pints of Punk IPA before every game :o)

It was bobby robson or brian clough that said whilst in management, that when his team won,he would open a bottle of champagne, and if they lost he would open two!!!! We would all be raving alcoholics if we followed that line lol!!!!
