Super Wombles Were Fantastic Obiang Atrocious In 4-2 Win

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, especially when it comes to setting up Football teams, Hammers vastly experienced manager Manuel Pellgrini selected what he thought was a 'competent' team in order to see off bottom of League 1 side FC Wimbledon. Indeed, pundits were congratulating 'Pelle' for taking the game seriously ahead of the match starting.

Now it is not for us to tell Pellegrini how to do his job, and we fully accept the 'slice' of luck involved in the first of four goals conceded as the ball took a wicked deflection off of Pedro Obiang passed a stranded Adrian in goal. However, the second goal was as a direct result of Obiang attempting to play the ball out from a danger area, Wimbledon took advantage and found themselves two nil up.

Any player can have a bad day at the office, as had Obiang, but to keep him on the pitch for the second half and not replace him with Declan Rice beggar’s belief, surely Pellegrini and his coaching staff must have been watching the same match! Time and again Obiang's 'bad hair day' continued as he was completely outmanoeuvered by the Wimbledon midfield and looked totally out of his depth by the end of the game. It may seem a little unfair picking on Obiang as the scapegoat, because the rest of the team did themselves absolutely no favours.

Few players if any can hold their heads high after this 'disastrous' defeat, of course fans of a certain age will remember Yeovil Town, Oldham, Luton Town and a few other crushing defeats against lower league opposition. The problem with this type of 'sobering' defeat is that it can have a negative effect on the results of forthcoming matches, the flip side being that the 'wounded' team can then go out and 'punish' their next opponents.

It is easy to imagine the PR arm of the club licking their lips at the prospect of announcing Marko Arnoutovic's 'contract extension' after dismissing Wimbledon from the Cup, although news of 'Arnie's' renewed contract actually broke before the ill-fated game it was the club's intention to 'glorify' in the good news.

There is an old expression which succinctly sums up West Ham's hopes for the season, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans". - Ed

That means more to El Pel and our chairman....442 with both fullbacks/wingbacks having a total mare....how masuaku gets anywhere near a first team place beggars belief he is totally totally useless at any kind of defending Antonio is a stop gap because he was scared fredericks coming back may breakdown...well i am sorry as soon as the brown stuff had hit the fan big style it was all change and suddenly putting Antonio where he is happiest we saw a different player...ogbonna took a lot of stick and yes he was poor but he was so busy worrying about covering masuakus many many mistakes he was playing fullback central defender etc..Noble was nowhere to be seen this is mr west ham this is the man with claret and blue in his veins yet i saw no fight no shouting at his teammates to get about the opposition nope he just quietly and meekly rolled over like the rest of them...carroll was woeful chicarito clearly was not interested after his chance hit the post snodgrass ran a lot but to little avail all the while El Pels right hand man had his head in his hands in total disbelief....after 20mins every seasoned west ham fan new what was going to come after all we are used to it but to concede 4 goals is an utter humiliation and a disgrace but it could of and maybe should of been more....El Pel was resting players because we have a big game on Tuesday against Wolves well those nicely rested and a certain prick with a new contract have no excuses and have to simply win because 7th in the league is more important than the F.A. Cup.....Premier league pffff hang your head in shame Mr Pellegrini because we fans deserved better than that.....the Players should be made to pay for those fans that travelled there and down to bournemouth with an equally inept display....We dont expect to win the league but one of the cups is a possibility but for too many years now manager after manager has treated them like an annoyance....so now just the prem to concentrate on will our players get to rusty as the manager complains there are not enough games to keep the players fit!!....very annoyed and disappointed El Pel....you deserve the plaudits you have had but you deserve the stick for this disaster....and hopefully now you have learned a vital lesson you will no who to ship out in the summer because there is still a lot of work to be done.

The whole situation is Bollocks.I feel that Sugo are shitting themselves over Arnautovic, they don't want him to go,and they also don't want another Payet situation, but I think we have one now,so they have given him a contract extension, probably a pay rise aswell, pussy footing around him, giving him all the player power he needs, and so he will play when he feels like it.The rest of the team know all about this, and it has seriously pissed them off,and in turn they thought why should we play our hearts out, which can only be the reason for that display on Saturday,as it was so plain to see they wasn't interested in that game, which is not good enough,as us supporters are the ones that suffer, and spend our hard earned money.Players like him should be booed off the pitch, hes not West Ham he don't want to be with us,hes an arsehole,Antonio said the truth the other week, stating everyone knows Arnautovic wants to go.So whats changed Feck all,all his talk of he feels at home now, bollocks,he is taking us for idiots,as he dosent want any hostility, and get told to feck off every time he touches the ball,as it will dent his ego.......Wanker

Yes they should of took the 35 mill, because this Twat now thinks he is bigger than the club, rated higher than any other team member, which has certainly pissed them off,and yes he did wave goodbye,he wanted to go,and in my opinion that was a fair price for him.

If Arnautovic apologises to the fans and gets on with it to put West Ham back in that winning streak, then I am sure this saga will be water under the bridge. But to me Masuaku is not a LEFT BACK. He should play either on the left wing or in a midfield position. I would have even experimented with putting Anderson up front as a centre forward in this game. But if clubs in Italy or Spain want Obiang, then let him go. There is no way that he and Noble should be on the pitch at the same time, as we saw how it turned out to be a disaster. No doubt if Rice started, then this would have been a different game altogether. But Chicharito + Carroll = Zero Chemistry. Neither have any idea how to create a goal out of nothing. Both need the ball at their feet with just the keeper to beat, but there is no guarantee that even that scenario will result in a goal. If I am in Pellegrini's boots, I would start Arnautovic and Antonio on the forward line, but if Arnie is not available for whatever reason then push up Anderson in that role and get Masuaku as a left winger. Unless, we are suffering from dementia we know that he was instrumental in West Ham's recovery at the end of last season, when he adapted to that role. I would move Antonio to the right wing and tireless Snodgrass into a midfield role with Noble.

I am sorry to disagree Toronto, but Masuaku is not a decent player at all. Championship at best. Sod this left midfield or left wing, he does not belong anywhere near our squad. Obiang and Ogbonna showed their worth and both were two Bob, as is the same with Hernandez & Carroll.
I seriously cannot wait for Lanzini and Anderson to get it on. Whether it's with Arnie, who knows, but please no Lucas Peres...More youth a la Declan Rice please. Let them shine and let them grow. It will be cheaper than half these Prima Donnas...Dont get me going on Mark Noble though. Really appreciate what he's about. but showed bugger all IMHO...

So why can't pel?masu is an absolute liability at left back every time he's put there we all know it's a disaster waiting to happen.whenever hes played at left mid/wing before hes a totally different player & has looked at times a class act!!bloody baffling imo
