4-4-2 second half made such a difference, the young fella slotted in well at right back...ive said it before we need to perservere with him!

Didn't see the game, working, who played upfront then if we played 2? Byram got his obligatory card but who cares. I suppose Lanzini got booked for taking his shirt off after the goal?

This was a better "team" performance second half. All season when anyone got the ball first thing they did was look for Payet, we were becoming one dimensional. It might take a couple of games but long term this is for the best.

I can't think of one player that didn't put a decent shift in, 3 nil is a great result against any team but to do it without the sook and against Big Sam, love it.

Bit emotional here but its plain to see that Slav has had shit since the start of the season in one way or another - OK he's made mistakes but it do seem that something wasn't right from the off....Payet the bad smell looks like he's played his (ugly) part, great player but well, you all know the rest....
All I will say, that eleven played for the manager today and the supporters can enjoy this tonight because they bloody deserve it.
Btw Sorry Nev about my language earlier on....COYI!!

I thought it was going to be a bore draw, but what a difference 2nd half...to watch a westham team attack like that was a joy-carroll,feghouli,ants,lanzini all linked up brilliantly,in fact the whole team were immense...

No doubt Payet contributed a great deal to an uncertain team last season. Maybe he was ticked off at being benched in the FA Cup and spoke out about it to Bilic and was probably scolded by Bilic. Anyway, I thought that he was a bit of a liability as he did not seem to give his 100% commitment unlike last year where he put in 150%. Also, he was a bit slow this season and barely made any tackles. His defensive qualities was really shocking and at times we looked like a team with ten men on the pitch.
The first half continued to bring out that lack lustre display. The second half was a different story altogether with Byram back in the squad and Antonio playing in his familiar attacking role. This was Feghouli's best display so far this season. He along with Lanzini, and Antonio were tearing Palace apart. Finally, West Ham had eleven players on the pitch with Carroll once again dominating the air. Byram's energy as he pushed forward meant that West Ham were taking control of the midfield. Noble who was quite poor in the first half was the Noble that we remember in the second half, and along with the reliable Obiang finally brought out the qualities that the Hammers exuded last season. Collins and Reid were rocks in defense and with Randolph in the finest form of his West Ham career, meant that this team were a pleasure to watch in the second half as they demolished Allardyce's Palace. Yes, this BFS man who is the best defensive craftsman in the Premier Division just ran out of ideas to contain Antonio, Lanzini, Carroll and Feghouli. Bilic should stop Feghouli's move to Italy. He is finding his feet. Carroll has touch wood remained fit and netted the best goal of his career and probably the most outstanding goal of this season in the Premier Season. Would never have fathomed us leap frogging Southampton after they demolished us 3-0 earlier this season at the London Stadium. Payet is the past, Bilic the Big, big future.

We can set about turning the page. Brilliant goal by Carroll, and it has to be said that when Andy is fit, he's as good a player as any. Antonio also deserves huge props -- playing with flu and fever I hear -- for 3 assists in a single match. As jeffhammer says, a great TEAM performance, and that is the key. I wrote in an earlier post that the team this year (except for a few) looked disinterested, but now we know why. And now we can see the skills of Lanzini and Fegouli -- more good things to emerge. Palace, of course, were not the sternest test, but this victory should be the rally point for West Ham. A decent second half of the season and we could still finish 9th-10th. Well done Irons and Bilic -- you've restored my faith considerably.

This for me was the best performances of the season. I know Palace are not a giood team, and maybe the worst team we have played this season but I thought in every position for the second half we were top draw. Fantastic work rate, plenty of skills and back to basics with good passing. Even Noble looked good and I am a big critic as I think hes too slow for the prem. Insired move at half time by Slav, I'm delighted for him and all the team with the result...COYI's!!!!
