Despite saying that there would be no further updates until Wednesday, we are able to confirm that Eidur Gudjohnsen will not be heading to the Boleyn. Barcelona´s Gudjohnsen has been a long term target for West Ham, but despite Carlton Cole´s injury and rumours of Kieron Dyer being unfit, Hammers will be unable to recruit the Icelandic International.

Columbus Crew and West Ham United's friendly turned out to be anything but a friendly, off the pitch. The game, which was played in sweltering heat saw Hammers win 3-1 with goals from Dean Ashton and Kyle Reid along with an own goal by Columbus, was marred by a bit of fisticuffs during half time.

Bobby Zamora and John Paintsil have finally joined Fulham from West Ham United on four and three year deals respectively, the two have moved for a combined fee in excess of £6 Million.
Whether this transfer represents good business is a matter of debate and is one for the future, we were the first site to mention Fulham's interest in the Z man but had no idea whatsoever about the transfer of JP at the time, at least it opens up the possibility one or two new players coming in.( categories: Latest News )
