i cant think of a single game in our history where we collapsed completely like that , or is collapsed the wrong word seeing as we were never in the ascendancy, God only knows what the spuds will do to us next week , we were unlucky in one sense , unlucky it was live on the telly

Cant believe hes blamed the defeat on lack of energy from the players,"after all they have been through in the last 2 weeks".Hes having a laugh! If you cant be up for a cup tie in front of nearly 6 thousand passionate westham fans who pay hard earned money to watch you play, then you shouldnt be wearing the shirt imo...

Ashes, that is such a bloody great comparison. Why has it not been brought up before. I tweeted a copy of his bollocks speil from the official website earlier mentioning them being Pro sportsmen (or the like) Tired. They wanna do a 50 - 60 hour week and then tell me about it. I agree mate, no bloody excuses...

Sam has brought us as far as he can although if he wasnt so stubborn with his obsession of nolan/carroll and his lack of belief in trying to blood some youth he may have brought us further. The old saying a leopard doesnt change his spots has been his downfall . The team were playing imaginitive free flowing football until his 2 best buddies returned from injury and then it was back to the same old dross...in fairness carroll gave his all but it was more direct with players out of position...Nolan contributes nothing no matter what people say....Hand the armband over to song or collins and lets get the team playing in there preferred positions..dump nolan/cole and maybe demel/obrien...get some good young players like cresswell from the championship and start giving lee/henry/oxford some game time in the run in...What a chance they had yesterday when we were 3-0 down to try youth yet he stuck cole and o brien on....I rest my case...Sam is a dinasour and we deserve better...My mates say we should be happywhere we are cos we are west ham...that make my blood boil....why should we settle for mid table mediocrity when our best eleven played in the right positions can compete with the best ? Our manager is holding us back and I am sick of it...Push the boat out and try for a young ambitious manager...frank de boer anyone ? I hope our owners have the balls to make the right decision this summer.

If that was the case then he should have bought in some younger players. But yes i agree it is a pathetic excuse. This is all they have to do, keep themselves fit, they have the best money can buy when it comes to advice regarding diet ect. they also earn in a week what most of us earn in a year, it should not be that heard to get it right.

This manager, does not manage craft, guile, technical players very well at all.
Have a look at our squad now he's outed the likes of Zarate, Morrison, RVT (to lesser extent), leaving us hamstrung with a core of midfielders who cannot get in behind defences, cannot beat a man with pace, not one of them has a trick to take the oppo on a one to one.
Therefore if we are presented with a team who presses us, or even half press' we have no option but to go over the top, by-passing our no. 8 , or 10.
Kouyate, has to anchor midfield from now to season end, only one from Noble, Nolan and Song in the starting eleven. Have we even seen Jarvis play in a right hand sided berth for an entire game, where he can go past his man and whip a ball in without having to check back, as he cannot play off of his left foot?

Not that Luck would have helped West Ham today.
Things have not been exactly great recently Song is not the Song of old and Nolan is an old man who should never be in the team.
An early game may not have suited some of the players but as you say Burkie if you cannot get motivated by 6000 Hammers away then what are you doing playing for West Ham Utd.
