As you have all been so kind in your messages of good will to my daughter I thought I should update you on a few things. Tilly had an accident in December 2014 and managed to break her leg, she blames me to anyone who asks even though I was downstairs getting her wheelchair ready, so was in cast for 8-10 weeks. The level of care we had got used to for so many years went up a few notches and it proved difficult. Just over 2 weeks ago, during a routine day at Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Mrs mentioned the fact that Tilly's leg and foot was still severely swollen so they did a scan. The scan revealed a blood cot so Tilly was admitted and remained there for 12 days, then her blood was thinned too much so warferin was given to thicken the blood. The long and short is that Tilly returned home last week but, will have to have weekly blood tests and daily doses of the drug for life, along with the 10 other daily medications. Tilly is home and we are blessed so let's see what tomorrow brings....:) COYI and thanks to everyone on here as it is a great release and bonded by great people, so big thanks to Nev as I have missed the org

Tilly didn't fall down the stairs, she decided to try walking to her wardrobe from her small sofa in her bedroom and lost her footing. Tilly blames me for everything that goes pear shaped, just like the other woman in my life lol

I think we all know what you mean with the other half...I have to take 5mg of Warfarin daily due to DVT. Thins my blood. Have to be careful (but not too careful) of what I eat, but other than that all's well. Thing is I'm 51 and Tilly is still so young. Bless her. Send her our best wishes the little darling. She's blessed to have you as a Dad thats for sure.

Sorry to hear about Tilly's fall ANTKB. But as you say at least she's home and we all know how much of a fighter she is so another dose of drugs she will simply take in her stride! Wishing her and the family all the best mate :-)

Blood levels down too low today so daily injections now required to thin the blood again, she is still at home for now so fingers crossed. All I need now is to read that West Ham are bringing Maiga back early......

And as, in sparkling majesty, a star
Gilds the bright summit of some gloomy cloud;
Brightening the half veil'd face of heaven afar:
So, when dark thoughts my boding spirit shroud,
Sweet Hope, celestial influence round me shed,
Waving thy silver pinions o'er my head!
