we were better. we remembered how to defend it seemed, although there were some big scares. we looked a lot more solid with obiang adding some discipline in the midfield. the elephant on the pitch however was our glaring lack of firepower up front. it was bold for bilic to play antonio up there and credit to him for making the change but in all honesty it didnt work. i keep harping on about the signings we made but I'm convinced we made a massive error. i look at palace and i see a team transformed with three signings. if we had signed townsend and benteke i really think we would be looking good right now. instead we have tore and zaza both who look totally unfit for the prem league. they make no impact whatsoever. hindsight is great i agree but i just don't know why we didnt bring a couple of proven prem leaguers in instead of gambling. i even think if we had bought Remy we'd have a lot more punch up front. its a bit of a poor show moving into a big new stadium but not having a striker befitting of the arena. we were promised a 'top' striker but to be frank zaza is not it. i don't know how much longer we can persevere with him as its clearly making our plight worse. we better get sakho back soon.

Frank Zaza? We would been better off with Frank Zappa! I agree about Townsend, he was one player who we really would of benefitted from signing. Still dont tjink Benteke will justify his price tag. We need Sakho back badly - I dont think we will be able to secure a proper striker in the next window to fill the boots of the one we were promised... probably going to be next season now

People will say its not a good result but, boro are no mugs and are a decent little outfit. Games like this is where the respect the point phrase was invented. Could have been all 3 but we got a point we played much better and its something to build upon.

Yep ,more of the same ,and your right last season was beyond all are expectations and i know we could have finnished higher but for our poor end to the season ,but thats one season ,when did we have such consistency last ,i think we've two main problems to over come ,a doggie back four and more seriously we must be the only team in the prem playing without a striker with the exception of maybe Arsenal but they dont need one ,they play with such blistering pace and any one of four players can score regularly, you need someone that scares defenders shitless ,Andy is a good example but he's always crocked ,the last time we had such a player was Deano ,then we had eight years of Carlton Cole bless him he was?a lovable guy but was no more a striker than i was ,fact is we gota spend a lot more money and spend it fight and then we gota find out who was responsible for bringing in them three or four tossers and show them the door along with their recent acquisitions
