Captain Marvel

Mark Noble what can you say about Mr West Ham his influence on the side and Rice in particular is there for the world to see....Criticised by many Me included in the whole legs gone debate but he has proved me and a lot of others wrong and long may it continue...the Rollocking he gave the midfielders and strikers for not tracking back on Watfords goal and other times is whats needed an enormous presence and personality on the pitch that no other player in our side has a true Captain and leader and to play for 90mins in that heat for his first game of the season was incredible...Well Done Mr Noble son well done indeed

the difference with him on the field is immense imo. he makes himself available, free for the ball. the likes of Wiltshire just seem to disappear into the melee of a crowded midfield. he always seems to have time to take a twirl, nd pass it on. he calms the play. I don't think Wiltshire is good enough anymore and Sanchez is diabolical, so for me its rice and noble as much as possible.

You know how much I've always rated Noble, and as glad as I am to see him proving his doubters wrong like usual. Its a bit worrying, that hes relied upon so heavily. The difference is massive not just for the reasons that you stated but for his general organisation of the team. All of a sudden this week we were able to defend from set pieces again and if you have a look at Noble when the other team have them, you can see why. Barking out instructions, organising the team, getting people in to positions. Its a quality that i definitely overlooked at times with Kevin Nolan. The problem is Noble isnt getting any younger, and will be more prone to injuries that will take that extra week or two to heal. Rice isn't ready, and whilst i think wilshere is a very good player he isnt a defensive mid in that mould. Cresswell and Ogbonna on the leadership side were an absolute chambles, don't think I saw either of them say a word to anyone vs city and brighton. Zaba's legs are gone. A future without Noble is a bit of a worrying thought.

Don't know who is going to replace him next season but he needs to have the determination and bite possibly Rice but he needs a good leader alongside him Someone like Collins wouldn't mind us getting Shelvey reckon he might be available next season

He is the only man for the Job and quite irreplaceable as the Captain right now,Claret and Blue running through his veins and all the players clearly respect him.

Never thought that he would be going this strong at 32 and I have always been one of his biggest fans during the years. Evey time you surrond Noble with half decent players and his qualities begin to show a whole lot more. He's been instrumental for us in the las 15 years ( good and bad ).

Oh, also it's good to be back on the forum. It's good to see a lot of people are still using it. COYI
