But because of the idiots fighting and for what? have heard many reasons behind this from poor stewarding to bad segregation to people who just love fighting...there were kids around but it seemed to make no difference to those brainless fools who think they are hard men pathetic truly pathetic.....but I have a feeling this is just the start with so many stories about non west ham fans having season tickets because the club so quick to dish out tickets basically did not work out how the "extra" season tickets could be abused....so you end up with a bowl of a stadium with pockets of fans trying to create an atmosphere and they could be sitting/standing next to people who don't care about west ham...I have yet to go to the stadium and I cannot say I am enticed to do so....on the segregation front I hear you can walk around the stadium and go in through any entrance and then walk all way around inside to get to where you want to be....if true then that is madness wait till spuds/manure/chelski and god forbid millscum if we draw them in the cup.....we are stuck with this situation now and it seems the F.A are now investigating what happened ground closure? prob not yet but I expect a fine no doubt....so messrs gold/Sullivan/brady this "world class stadia" you harped on about has plenty of teething problems and needs to be sorted quicksmart or I for one will not set foot in it and just support from afar.

Really needs sorting out & fast...the 1 game i went to i thought to myself-wheres the segregation?wheres the police?these stewards look like they they havnt a clue!also why is it you can walk round any part of the ground via the concourse?massive open space outside the ground & all fans are let out at once?all these factors are a breeding ground for trouble imo....i feel sorry for the familys with their children, surely it was never meant to be like this?

You are correct with regards to taking your kids to the stadium, I was there on saturday and really didn't want my youngest son who is eleven years ols to witness the sort of trouble that I grew up with in the seventies. Whilst I am not particularly bothered or frightened by the prospect of having to 'deal' with a drunk or angry fan, friendly or foe, I did start to make contingency plans in my head for how to protect my son in case it did all kick off, and mark my words it WILL kick off unless something is done about segregating the fans really soon!

I am a season ticket holder and have attended every match at the London Stadium so far, including the Euro & Juventus games. There are several urgent issues that need addressing:
1. Lack of police presence. As we know, the club do not own the stadium and therefore are not responsible for the police. And there are none - in the stadium, around it, and to and from the various train & underground stations.
2. The stewards. On the whole they are polite and friendly, but they are youngsters or casual staff looking for a Saturday job. Many are women. They are not hired to be "security".
3. Lack of segregation. Not only in the stadium, but around it and the long walk from the stadium to the train stations.
4. The queues in getting from the trains to the stadium, and back again. Again, only controlled by young stewards.
4. The stand up sit down nonsense.
So far, I have been pleasantly surprised how well behaved 60,000 people have been considering the mass of people being funnelled in and out of area with absolutely no police presence and mixed with away fans. But we all know this is a disaster waiting to happen.

You are spot on Stuart, fixtures to date are Mickey Mouse compared to those to come, my fear is Saints and Boro are a step up on the teams so far, hope to be proved wrong but this is disaster in the making.
