Betty heard this rumour a few days ago and it appears Allardyce does actually want another 2 year contract. I cant believe he has the audacity to ask for the same wages as Jose Mourinho (top wage in the world for a manager) though!!!. I have trouble watching the sh*te we produce each week since Nolan came back into the team and results this year (3 wins in 16) are not exactly top form are they? This could mean one of two things! Allardyce knows he is going after the Newcastle game or he really does believe he is the best manager in the world! Thoughts!

How can you justify Allardyce being on that list ? The majority of those managers listed have won major honours with the teams they have managed, now consider Allardyces' honours list:

Bolton Wanderers

Football League Second Division Winner: 1977–78

Limerick

League of Ireland First Division Winner: 1991–92

Notts County

Football League Third Division Winner: 1997–98

Bolton Wanderers

Football League First Division Play-off winner: 2001
Football League Cup Runner-up: 2004

West Ham United

Football League Championship Play-off winner: 2012

Premier League Manager of the Month: August 2001, November 2003, January 2004, December 2006, February 2014, October 2014.

Surely the board have got bigger ambitions then just settling for someone who has the reputation of being able to secure premiership status and how do they expect to fill a 55000 seater stadium with the style of football he plays? £6 million and a 2 year contract has got to be a joke. With the OS move approaching the board have really got to push the boat out now and sign a manager with a CV to match, because the club are on the verge of entering an exciting new era.The days of second rate managers are over, surely now is the time to bring in someone who can take the club to the next level playing modern football.

I would rather west ham to go down than pay him six five or even four million though It may not be true the fact that he is getting such a decent amount makes it possible.

To an actual story or quote about this I mean. I really can't see Sam wanting anywhere near that sort of money.

I think the key word here is 'rumour'. No one actually knows what Sam is asking for and for how long. So until there is any real evidence or substance to this, I think I'll reserve judgement.

I think you have got it spot on nt , I can however see the foresight in asking for £6m over the two years though with maybe a bonus top up for a trophy or Euro qualification (which would seem more sensible)

The two year contract he wants has been reported by Claret & Hugh and some red tops, I cant believe the board will offer him £6m though but it is a rumour around the club according to Betty Swollox. I have seen the 2 year contract stated that he wants but not the £6m. It's just a club rumour!
