Is it enough?

Although they don't come right out and say it, listening to Sullivan and Bilic, it seems we are finished our transfer business, except, possibly, for a couple of young players for the future (a.k.a. Academy Signings). Already the news is that we won't be getting Keita Balde (aw, just missed him, had that bid accepted but he wants to stay in Serie A and play for Milan). And then there's that "one in, one out" policy -- FFP and just can't afford new additions, and all that. You know the rhetoric by now. What I'm asking is, is it enough business? There were a few recent posts to the effect that if you look at how much we've spent and how much we had come in, we've actually underspent. I think that's right. And we could use at least one more proven striker. It doesn't have to be Hernandez quality -- we could afford to take a bit of a punt -- but another would really help. Do you agree? Who should we be looking at?

We were in for him a few seasons ago but didn't have the dosh. Wonder what they paid for him? Incidentally, your typo is really funny --when I think of a waist going into a Turkish outfit, it's generally a belly-dancer.

This is West Ham of course it won't be enough! Ok a good transfer window and have strengthened our side but when we get down to the nitty gritty we have only BOUGHT 2 players. Are gold and Sullivan really saying this is all we need? For me it is the minimum we need after last season. Luckily these players seem minimum risk, but they are still gona be one or 2 injuries away from struggling in certain areas.

Especially given how long ago we had a decent season injury wise. the cost of players in isn't far ahead of funds raised by players out so i'm expecting a few more given previous seasons of approximately 50 mill spent. It's been good to see the board getting on with business instead of talking about it and it's not uncommon for chairmen and managers to say that's it folks in case those selling look to hike prices.

Since the Hernandez signing we have unloaded Randolph, fletcher and feghouli is imminent. Based on what bilic and the board said it was 1 in and 1 out so when feghouli goes we need another 3 in. We are now getting a bit short on numbers so Sullivan will have to dig deep again! Can't see the point in getting rid of anyone if the squad isn't going to be topped up. It's not all about spending money and business has been good but after the new TV money we should at least dip into it.
