Should our fans have made more noise of annoyance at the end of the game, or maybe they are happy ?.

As I was not there I cannot really comment, but what I would have expected was some heavy booing against Sam Allardyce , was there any ?.
From what I saw on MOTD there was just some dejected apathy but not anger but the coverage was so quick (Fortunately) I am not even sure of that.
Surely the fans have to make the board know their feelings if they actually have any, or are we just too chicken to make them felt ?, what seems sought of obvious to me is that it is probably 50/50 regarding the ones who are happy for him to stay and those who are not.
The game was awful but what i cannot believe is how pathetic our defending has become they made Everton look like a top side when in reality they have been struggling like hell to find some solid form.
Typical Typical Allardyce football, but the players have to be blamed too they have lost their way, probably because the Chairmen of the club have not made a statement about the Manager and the uncertainty has affected them, but God did they look unprofessional for both goals conceded, almost switched off.

As for the game FT it was mediocre at best. Everton looked more affective going forward because for every Gareth Barry and Mcarthy they'll have a Barkley or Osman. Martinez always has a bit of flair in there so they better on the eye. Why Cole started God knows. I'm a fan of his, in that, he's been with us on and off a long time and certainly had his moments. But yesterday people around me were laughing at him sometimes, falling over, which I think is sad, we should remember these players for the good things. As for the crowd I think they've been bored into submission. The atmosphere wasn't there. It's a challenge for the owners, as next year it will be more of the same, and is that a fitting way to sign off the Boleyn? I hung around to see the lap of honour intrigued to the reaction he'd get. I reckon it was a quarter full at best. Those staying by and large were probably in support of him and the team. I'm saw one banner on the TB upper, but apart from that I think we get drummed into Us by the media, and fans on forums like this, that we're so lucky to have him, we accept it. I'm just glad the season is nearly over. I expect him to stay and UP will be like a morgue by the time we leave.

We would've been 7th-8th ish if it wasn't for late goals conceded. Something that still hasn't been fixed by Sam and the players, defending issues and their lack of concentration until the final whistle ... Very lazy defending and to rub more salt into our gaping wound the gits hav'nt won a game when there've conseded first for over a year and it had to be him again tut tut!

We seem to have a habit of being there for teams when they need to break losing streaks, or strikers need to break droughts of extend records, got to be one of the most accommodating football teams around. Osman, scored 2 goals all season, both agst us, Lukaku has now scored in his last 6 games agst us, probably begs to play us every week. Fully expect Newcastle to break their 10 games without a win agst us next week although after watching their game against QPR that would be some failure on our part. They were effing awful.

Watched the match last night, don't know what to think. Sam always had the reputation of being a defensive Manager but he seems to have lost his way in this regard conceding sloppy goals. The second half of the season has been hard to take after such a good start. Sam says that his average finish as a Manager is tenth. So has he done what it says on the tin. The worry I have is the second half of the season has been relegation form football and whether is it going to improve next season. Could Sam do it next season, the owners might think he can and get us to the OS in the Premiership. I think every manager's reign runs its course and I think Sam's is at that point. Whether SUGO want to take the risk and go for a new Manager it remains to be seen . Villa took the risk and it did pay off. I think we are going to have to do the same for the fans sake if for nothing else.

I think it's time the owners ans fans stopped this be careful what you wish for, or Sam is the ONLY man that can provide our premiership status and take us into the OS, safety first cobblers, we need to push on and to do that and justify our tenancy in the OS we need to match the manager to the vision and stadium.
Sam is a mid table mediocrity, all out defense minded dinosaur of a manager. He's done the absolute minimum of what was required from the owners in my opinion, could have got more if he had the balls to attack but always has to protect the draw first and foremost.
If we want to progress and I know I bloody well want us too then we need to say thanks and bye bye to him in the summer and get a manager that matches what we could well become in 2-3yrs and that is a top 6 side. We have the fan base, the stadium, owners that are fans and understand the history and what we could become. We're a sleeping giant. It's time to wake up and breathe fire into the East End

Without wishing to be a killjoy, but what the f*ck was Reece Burke doing for both goals ? And Reid isnt the player that he was either in my opinion ... if Ginge had been able to stay on the whole game, there's no doubt in my mind that we would have held onto the load

ive got to say i feel the same about him , he's either not up to it or he's very nervous , goin against the grain i know but he looks decidedly iffy to me , i think a spell on loan to the lg 1 or 2 would sort him out

When we appointed Sam it was great for me and I supported him ,and up to Xmas. Now it's the same old c##p every w/end.Defensive even against lowly sides. Now if we had not had a great start to the season we would be relegated by now.We will finish in the bottom half and not the top half of the table.Sam is quoted as a defensive manager?!it's not worked he has lost it,picking Nolan,Cole, not playing Nene, loaning out Zarate(who was fed up with him).I was with Sam but no more,I used to look forward to the results etc for a long time I 've lost interest. This is my team OUR team we care not Sam,it's now up to the 2 Dave's to sort it out.Get Him OUT please.Sorry rant over.COYI'S.

Turk ,I feel the fans have become very apathetic, there is little positivity in any of the forums,I for one can't be bothered to post much of the time, when I do it's only to add to the negativity that Allardyce has created. I don't think the fans are split 50/50 ,I think it is more like 70/30 ,many of those sitting on the fence and even some former pro-Allardyce fans have changed opinion of him.But just to add my twopenneth today.......Quotes from Allardyce over the weekend "It’s been an outstanding season for me!’: “Everybody in the world of football has very short memories,.......The guy is seriously deluded, since that Boxing Day debacle against Chelsea it has been 3 wins in 20 premiership games,if that isn't a short term memory loss I don't know what is.I am confident he is gone,I think the board have finally come to their senses after this run of results. If this run had come at the beginning of the season I could never see Allardyce turning it around,it would be a relegation battle all the way.Even without any injuries the bad feeling generated this season amongst certain players and especially amongst the fans because of the style issue and his favouritism for certain players cannot carry on.

Have to agree with Bobshep, Reece Burke was ball watching for both goals and cost us the game. He played better than he did the other week but a critical moments like that you can't be ball watching as you get punished, and I wish ginge hadn't gone off as he would have got a challenge in on both. I'm bored of posting as Allardyce's obvious issues are bringing the club and it's fans down with him, his constant interviews stating how good he think's he is are pathetic and two fingers up at the people who pay his wages. 3 wins in 19 games and all he tries living off is the past, sad individual in my opinion as it's all about him. He goes on about injuries being the problem but what he quickly forgets is the fact that other clubs, namely Swansea and Southampton, lost better players than us at the beginning of the season but have still faired better than our club! How anyone thinks he is the person to take us forward and upwards is beyond me and, thankfully, they are in the minority as nearly every fan I talk to agrees that he did a job but his time is up.

I was there on Saturday with my 2 sons, but regret to say that we didn't stay for the lap of honour as my boys wanted to go and I had no appetite to stay around for another 10 minutes either. Terrible game. Biggest cheers were for the yellow cards.
Nothing else to get excited about. Great shame as the last home game of the season used to be brilliant. It was the one game, regardless of how bad the season had been, that you would see a great match & performance from the team and a good atmosphere in the ground as well. Used to be able to run on the pitch as well whilst the players threw their shirts down from the directors box. I think it petty that we don't allow that just once a year. It's just small minded in my opinion and a great shame for the kids.
As for "outstanding season" - bollocks! Outstanding start to the season, but awful dreadful 2nd half of the season. Unless we get some entertainment soon our new stadium will be a library. Not much point in booing or cheering - that's how dull it has been and was on Saturday.
