to be honest glad the circus is over. we didnt sign anyone but didnt lose anyone of note either. personally I think the squad is ok, could be better but its still decent. we just need the manager to sort things out and start using a consistent system that brings out the best in them.

I do agree however the board is pretty much a shambles. promising investment yet at end of it all looking like they made a profit from, sales v incoming.

you have to say now that the squad is a mid table at best squad for this division. so the promise of pushing the club onwards etc are hollow. only now can we really assess the expectations based on what we've bought. therefore with bilic looking lost and unable to motivate the players or get the best out of them, looks like we will be around the bottom 6 maybe even battling the drop.

i think the squad is looking paper thin now...if we put out all our best players yes we have a decent first eleven but look to the bench and the backups and you have to worry...somewhere i read our net spend with all the ins and outs is £19.2 million and for a premier league team that is beyond modest and you would struggle in the championship with that kind of outlay...so another summer another false dawn IMO and come january they will be panic buying when it all goes tits up....forget the huddersfield home game lets see how this team fairs against wba away pulis will be rubbing his hands with glee.

i agree its thin and i really wonder why oxford, martinez, burke etc aren't being given places on the bench along with rice. surely this is the way to go? have a strong 1st team, couple of back ups and then give young promising players a chance when the gaps appear? even if we did this and the youngsters didnt play well id still give Bilic credit for giving it a go. my worry is that our squad like you say is o,k, but the management of it is not. that doesnt take away from the fact that this board isn't investing nearly enough into it. they can't promise top 6 club ambitions with this sort of squad, no way its a joke. said it before we'd be far better staying at U.P and building slow as you do, but we've moved and gone backwards…its lose lose. i do believe that when fit, the squad is decent. players like antonio, lanzini, arnautovic, hernandez, carroll, cress well, moussaka….good players but need to be shown how to work together.

Is there still a problem on the training ground the seven established players you mention are far above some of the others and should be much more confident with their own skill sets
As for the first three youngsters not getting any match time i think its because when they do get the occasional run out their so fukin nervous and when they do make a mistake it drains the confidence out of them so its goodbye off you go to the lower division's, let the carrot crunchers pay your wages for a while see you next season

Window shuts? Yes I know it bloody stuffy in here, first sign of rain and er indoors shuts all the bloody windows! Mac sky are saying net spend is 13 mill. Anyway now we didn't get carvalho, I think bilic has to change his formation. Especially as we are short in some areas like wide mid and up top when sakho strikes. Ah well at least it give bilic a reason to play players out of position. Let's wait with baited breath.
