Finally the Rock has errrrr sorry went off on a little side road there! so fee agreed and only personal terms to be finalised and rumour has it its £49thousand a week expect bonuses for goals appearances etc but is this not much more sensible than the daft money you no who wanted.....now get a second striker in on loan if need be and give us much more options to change things around and make us a lot less predictable.

Club has to answer the fans

Our transfer policy has been nothing if not disastrous this summer with Moyes fawning over Lingard and failing now the same with Broja, Supposedly not that keen on Scammacca because Newman has scouted and put him forward a bid they say of £34million gone in for him.I go on record now and say Moyes will be gone before Christmas and Warburton his replacement.

The club has to answer to those who fork out a pretty penny for season tickets as to what is going on with transfers. The club cannot let this circus keep going yet another week goes by and no movement in sight i really am now Questioning Moyes ability to attract players.

If Moyes cannot get the players he wants and he thinks he has enough in the squad if he cannot then we will be fighting a relegation battle with Everton next season and we will be the losers...Dramatic you may say but we have gone down with better sides in the past and this constant Dithering in the market is now beyond a joke.

So when will the panic start?Moyes is like a frog in a pan of water with the gas on underneath totally oblivious to the danger.

2nd Fixture Will Be Tasty

West Ham open the season at home to premier league champions Manchester City, City will be parading their new signings and West Ham will be hoping to be able to put a team together! With that game a virtual write off much attention had been given to the club's 2nd fixture, away to newly promoted Nottingham Forest, well that game has taken on a whole new significance now that long term David Moyes transfer target Jesse Lingard has elected to join Forest instead of West Ham!

At least the 'will he, won't he?' saga has drawn to a conclusion no matter how messy, Forest have got a top player, while the player has got top dollar, believed to be around £200,000 per week. Those inside the club had an inkling this situation might occur and have acted accordingly by looking at other options, there is NO WAY Hammers were prepared to pay that sort of money and were not prepared to get into a bidding war with Forest.

It is easy to be high and mighty in judging Lingard's behaviour, but at the end of the day he owed West Ham exactly NOTHING! When he was on loan he helped the club achieve a top six finish and his performances earned him his England place back, albeit briefly.

Time to move on, nothing to see here! - Ed

7 Reasons Why the Premier League Continues to be a Dominant Force in European Football

Submitted by nevillenixon on Thu, 21/07/2022 - 12:22

It’s easy to dismiss the Premier League for the constant failure of England to impact the international football stage or the continuous influx of foreign players, but nearly three decades after its launch the Premier League continues to set the stage for all others. This is because it generates the most excitement and wealth across the globe.

Part of the reason the Premier League is successful is due to the increasing number of fans who want to watch it more than any other league. In fact, Nielsen Sports projects that Premier League partners and clubs can expect a global value ranging from £700k and £2m per match.

But what makes the Premier League a dominant force on the global football scene? Let’s look at the reasons below:

Rich Heritage, Culture and History

The Premier League boasts a rich heritage, history, culture and authenticity that most football lovers crave. Participating teams aim to be ambitious, inspiring and connected for success. They have a shared vision to strive for excellence when playing the world’s most compelling and competitive game, football.

With a mission of creating experiences that invigorate lives and excite people, the EPL remains inspiring to many. It also safeguards the integrity of football by being trustworthy, responsible and objective.

Excitement and Inherent Competitiveness

The English undeniably invented football and exported their invention across the world. As many feats continue to be achieved in football, the Premier League seeks to carry on these feats. Even more, the EPL draws fans from across the globe to place bets on their favourite teams or players on online gambling sites such as Buumi Online.

Teams that play in the Premier League face a high level of competition. The evolution of each player requires difficulties, which help develop the player. As players reach their potential while facing challenges, they have a choice to either stay in the league or play elsewhere.

Changes in the Distribution of Foreign TV Revenue

Numerous protections are in place to ensure a fair revenue distribution amongst EPL clubs. This means that all participating clubs receive a standard payment.

Teams earn based on their final position in the Premier League table and the number of times they appear on TV. In this case, the top teams earn more than the bottom teams.

Also, the television-rights deal signed by the Premier League outshines all its European competitors. In fact, The Times reports that international TV deals for the Premier League stand at £5.3 billion while the domestic deals at £5.1 billion in the 2022 to 2025 rights cycle.

Players in the League

Some of the world’s best players play in the Premier League. Think of Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne. The Premier League has the best players compared to other football leagues worldwide. It ranks fifth in total goals scored per game, fourth in point differential, second in continental victories and second in discipline.

One of the reasons why Premier League players are so competitive is the power of their top teams. With so many big names in this league and lots of stake, players can’t help but be in their very best form.

Solid Foreign Deals

While other members of the Big Five tried renegotiating TV deals at the end of the pandemic, the Premier League wasn’t struggling at all. Its brand was strong enough to pull in lucrative foreign deals. This was attributed to the increasingly hungry foreign TV market eager to watch the teams and matches.

Thanks to these solid foreign deals, the Premier League continues to invest in communities locally and nationally. The impact of their investments continues to help those in need.

The Collapse of Domestic Deals for Other Big Five leagues

Thanks to the Premier League’s ability to negotiate a small rebate back to the UK TV broadcasters, they continue to stay ahead of other Big Five leagues. The PL managed to get a like-for-like extension on the UK TV deal that lasts through 2025.

In contrast, Ligue 1’s revenue collapsed post-pandemic due to fewer domestic deals. La Liga also had to negotiate downwards, making them inferior to the Premier League.

Champions League Restructure

The Champions League restructure left many wondering where European football was headed. It was met by reactions like UEFA adding more unnecessary matches to counteract the aspirations of the Super League.

However, these efforts proved futile and gave the Premier League a competitive advantage. Owing to their considerable wealth and monopoly over the transfer market, the Premier League can exploit the weakness of other leagues.
Final Thoughts

The Premier League is a force to reckon with in the global football scene due to its world-class players and equitable distribution of commercial and broadcast revenues. The participating teams also face a high level of competition and receive lots of support from fans across the globe. Even more, their viewership is higher compared to other leagues.

Normally i do not worry to much about who the club sign because as a supporter i cheer the players on the pitch in the Claret&Blue Shirt as i want us to win and they are our men.

The latest on a certain Mr Lingard is he will sign for us if we match the alleged offer of Notts Forest for me and i expect many that is a red flag and our club needs to stand firm wish the player well and move on because he is clearly motivated by money more than playing which is sad as he is already a very rich young man.If this proves to be some kind of bluff to try and get more money and it does not work and the player then decides well alright i will sign for you this has to be met with a short sharp know you had your chance we have other irons in the fire purely because if you buckle to one mans demands how long before players already here are knocking on the door asking for more?

Do not try to be like the super clubs and keep up with the Joneses we never could in the past.A well run club can mix it with those others Leicester did we have look at Brighton and where they finished let the super rich have the playboy superstars because for every Ronaldo there is a Pogba/Fernandes/Aubamayang/Lukaku.

So lets be true to our roots yes if we can pluck a gem because the bigboys think the players rubbish all well and good but let us be realistic in our targets and with our budget as we nearly lost our club a few years back and that is more important to me than paying any one player over the odds.

Armando Broja transfer: West Ham Battle New Castle for Chelsea star Armando

West Ham and Newcastle United are both interested in signing Chelsea star Armando Broja, but David Moyes is hoping he can grab the Spaniard for his side. The Scottish manager has made inquiries over Broja's potential availability this summer and given him strong consideration for a loan move to the London Stadium.

A striker will be high on Moyes' transfer agenda as a lack of goals was one of West Ham's biggest failings last season, with Marko Arnautovic topping their charts with just 11 strikes. However, it is clear that Moyes needs more firepower up front if they compete in Europe next year - particularly given their Europa League commitments this time around.
West Ham is hoping to capture the signature of Chelsea wonderkid Armando Broja from under the noses of Newcastle United this summer.

The youngster has lit up Chelsea's academy system this campaign, and manager Frank Lampard wants to give him a chance in his first-team side next term.

Broja is just one of many young talents who have shone for the Blues, and he was part of their FA Youth Cup-winning side last month. He scored against Aston Villa in the final at Stamford Bridge while also getting on the score sheet against Liverpool in earlier rounds of that competition.

Moyes is looking to build on the progress made by his side during his first full campaign in charge, and he sees Broja as an important part of that vision for the future.

Chelsea has not yet decided whether or not to allow the 18-year-old striker to go out on loan next season, with two Premier League clubs already making their interest known.

New Castle needs a new striker following Callum Wilson's injuries and has the hots for Broja. They are keen to secure his signature before pre-season starts, but West Ham is also interested in the Spaniard, who has scored three times in five appearances for Chelsea's Under-23 side this season.

The West Ham manager has a history of signing young talent, with Kieran Trippier and Albian Ajeti (who both joined the Hammers from Tottenham Hotspur in 2016) and Jake Cooper (who was signed by Moyes after impressing on loan at Ipswich Town).

Broja has impressed his displays for Chelsea's academy side, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances this season. This form has led to rumors that he could be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but Moyes is preparing a bid worth £6 million if he wants to bring him to West Ham instead.

The Scot also needs another striker after Callum Wilson suffered an injury last month, which will keep him out for most of next season; now 24 years old, Armando Broja could prove an astute replacement if Moyes gets his man.
Moyes may hire him to bolster the Hammers squad before a hot European campaign.

And there you have it, West Ham's pursuit of Armando Broja. It has been an interesting few days for the Hammers as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. Should the Alarm bells be ringing?

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on Wed, 20/07/2022 - 16:23

Yes, it was only friendly. Yes, there are still 2 weeks to the season starts. But with lack of new arrivals to our wafer thin squad and the performance against Rangers & generally lack of goals (still). Should we be thinking about hitting the panic button?
It was common knowledge we needed around 10 new additions this summer way back in January. We need help all over the park. We need to pull the trigger & bite the bullet to get some of these deals over the line. Regarding Lingard. As much as I want him to sign, he needs to be told to sign now or forget us. He is way short of being match fit and would not be ready for the start of the season. As for a striker. Don't let Chelsea mess around with Broja. Move on & quickly. Apparently a bid has been accepted for Scammacca (spelling). Push it through. Or is Moyes the problem? I read he wants Broja & Newman identitified Scammacca. Because Antonio is not the answer. He is unreliable with fitness and not prolific enough. Too cold than hot. Creswell at Left Back. Thank you for your service but you can't cut it anymore.
Everyone knows what was needed. We need now to get the players settled and ready. Every other club seem to be filling their boots. Our nearest competition Arsenal, Tottenham & Man Utd have gone about their business and got things done. Tottenham have done exceedingly well. We had the chance in January and the club failed to take the opportunity to push on & ultimately costing us a Europa League Trophy & qualification for the same tournament again. We are in a position to threaten the top 6. FFS get deals done as we are teetering on the slippery slope.

Ex-Juventus Forward Paulo Dybala for Chelsea Or West Ham in July 2022

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Wed, 20/07/2022 - 10:10

“Fate puts us on different paths” is what Argentinian national Paulo Dybala said on his social media post, confirming his departure from Italian giants Juventus F.C. this summer as a free agent.

With the soon-to-be free agent available on a free transfer this upcoming summer transfer window, a whole host of clubs are lining up for his signature these days. Above all, Chelsea F.C. and West Ham United reportedly could hold a crucial advantage over their rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Paulo Dybala’s Highlights

The highly-skilled 28-year-old Paulo Dybala is one of Argentina’s top professional football players. His innovative play and exceptional ability on the field are usually reflected in his nicknames, such as “the new Messi,” “the new Sergio Agüero,” and “La Joya or The Jewel,” to name a few. Moreover, he’s a favorite among bettors in online sports betting.

His youth career started at Instituto de Córdoba and debuted professionally in Primera B Nacional. He made 17 goals in 40 games for the club, making him the youngest player to do so. What’s more, he was the first person to play 38 back-to-back games in a professional league and the first to get two hat-tricks in a single season.

In April 2012, the Italian Palermo had him signed for a 4-year contract. Dybala made his first two goals in a Serie A game in Italy right on his debut that year, letting his club win over Sampdoria with a score of 2–0. He attracted more attention after finishing the 2014-15 Serie A season with 13 goals and ten assists, making him among the top assist makers in the league.

Dybala’s last year with Palermo turned out to be Dybala’s breakthrough season, where he attracted the attention of several top clubs in Europe, including Serie A giants Juventus. In 2015, The Turin club successfully had him penned in a 5-year deal for a transfer fee of €32 Million with an extra €8 Million as add-ons if he met certain performance-related targets.

Dybala didn’t disappoint Juventus. He was able to rack up 300 games with over 100 goals for the club for seven seasons, not to mention his key roles in five league titles and four Coppa Italia. He also had a host of personal awards, such as when he beat Cristiano Ronaldo, his Juve team-mate, to the 2019-20 season’s Serie A MVP award.

Now, Dybala’s current contract with Juventus is bound to expire in June, but he’s planning to leave the club as a free agent. At first, they had a verbal agreement for a contract extension last year in October.

Dybala agreed with the terms of a five-year deal worth €8 Million plus a €2 Million net salary until 2026. But Juventus suddenly changed their proposal with new conditions, resulting in their talks collapsing.
Chelsea and West Ham’s huge cash advantage

After his confirmed exit from Juventus, Dybala is currently in talks with other clubs. Just like any football or soccer betting odds, there are favourites for Dybala’s signature too. Here are the current odds:

● Spurs: 4/1
● Atletico Madrid: 5/1
● Inter Milan: 5/1
● Arsenal: 6/1
● PSG: 7/1
● Barcelona: 8/1
● Chelsea 9/1
● West Ham 10/1

Despite this list, only the London clubs were reportedly offered the chance to sign Dybala on a pre-contract agreement last February. Chelsea, in particular, could hold a crucial advantage over their rivals if their former midfielder Pulisic is moved to Juventus.

Christian Pulisic, who’s valued at £60 million by the CIES Football Observatory, has been on the radar of Juventus. The club thinks highly of the player as someone who can replace Dybala in Turin.

If Pulisic replaces him in Juventus, Chelsea could offer guaranteed game time to Dybala far more easily. It’s basically killing two birds with one stone. Firstly, Dybala can take advantage of Chelsea’s league standing over their London rivals.

What might worry Hammers fans is that David Moyes’ spat with Tomas Soucek has shown no sign of abating, leaving many to question as to whether he will be with the Irons by the time the transfer window shuts!

Lastly, Dybala is seen to have some emotional attachment to Juventus. Knowing that he is not leaving the club in a dire situation, Dybala might have peace of mind to transfer to Chelsea or Wes Ham. He admitted that he did not see his departure from Juve coming so soon. In his final home match last May 16, Dybala was repeatedly mopping his eyes while bidding farewell to the thousands of Juve fans who stayed behind to send him on his way.

Final Thoughts

Until the very end, Dybala is very proud of his Juventus stint. His latest social media posts showed his feelings about his exit. He said that the seven years with 12 trophies and 115 goals for Juventus are irreplaceable.

He added that he was very proud of wearing his shirt and captain’s armband, hoping he’ll be able to show them off to his future family. He went down memory lane, extended his gratitude, and paid an emotional goodbye once more to his supporters. - LN
