Hammers Massive Expenditure To Continue Funded By HP Not DR
For a club supposedly struggling to generate transfer market funds, certain players have to be sold or released, West Ham United are doing a pretty good job of confounding critics and supporters in equal measure. The impending arrival of Villarreal star Pablo Fornals, one of the hottest young stars in Spain, for a fee of £24 Million has technically wiped out over half of the rumoured transfer kitty.
Spain International 23 year old Fornals’ wages of £60,000 per week are entirely manageable and are in keeping with the new ethos of buying young players quite expensively but on relatively low wages, lowering the average age of the players at the London Stadium is obviously a key desire of both Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husillos. Fornals will become the second most expensive signing in West Ham’s history, for now!
With all this positive transfer activity one would have expected the two Davids to have at least been on their soapboxes eulogising about how the club is moving to the next level, but thankfully nothing, nada, zilch! Amazing isn't it? We are not sure what dark secrets Pellegrini and the Huse discovered that have enabled them to blackmail the 'Men's Mag Magnates' so effectively but long may it continue.
On a more serious note, how will little old West Ham be able to pay for the 'luxurious' players who are apparently being lined up, what about FFP? The answer is quite simple, and it doesn't involve the board using smoke and mirrors. You see, back in the day the Hammers hierarchy used to take a 'pay day loan' from an offshore company based in Bermuda, as did several Barclays Premier League clubs, but due to rule changes and FFP the use of that facility was banned.
Ironically the removal of the loan facility has benefited West Ham because it forced a change of mind set within the club, instead of paying massive wages for older players with little or no sell on value, the club will pay up for young talent, but not stupidly high wages. This situation is possible because their has been a decision made to 'utilise' the more liberal fiscal tranch facility available when dealing with overseas clubs as opposed to those in the UK, essentially HP but with a different name.
The positive outcome of committing the club to what seems like more debt will be the creation of a pool of players whose value will increase as opposed to the old way of doing things where the players' values would go the opposite way, shrewd investment in young players and the nurturing of the club's youth players is how El Pel and the Huse managed to make lowly Malaga a force while they were there, and there is no reason why they cannot repeat that achievement at Stratford.
Finally, fans should be reassured that by using HP, the club can avoid having to sell DR, Declan Rice! - Ed

It Had To Be City Didn't It? Fixtures Announced
Rumours that West Ham United were going to start the new Barclays Premier League season with an a away match at Watford due to some creative photoshopping of a supposed fixture list, have been firmly dispelled with the news that the Irons have been handed the poisoned chalice of a home game to start the season, against Manchester City at 12:30 on Saturday the 10th of August!
It seems the footballing gods still have issues to resolve with West Ham United, last season's opening fixtures were about as hard as it could get, especially for a team with a new manager with a totally different concept of how he likes his football played, and with at least half a new team to bed in straight away.
At least the following fixtures in August are slightly kinder, with away visits to Brighton and the Watford followed by a home game against newly promoted Norwich. September starts with an away visit to another newly promoted team in the form of Aston Villa, followed by a home game against Manchester united and then an away visit to Bournemouth to round off the month.
A full fixture list to follow.... - Ed

Apparently we have just signed this player and nope never heard of him but thats not a bad thing..23yr old attacking midfielder who Guillem Balague rates highly and says it is a good deal for west ham as an expert on spanish football it is worth listening to him.....£24million apparently and once all the details in contract have been worked out and signed he will be unveiled in 48 hours.....so we haven't signed him yet lol gotta love all the transfer tittle tattle
Forget Gomez And Gomes More Like Jordan And Lobokta
Rumours that West Ham are back in for Maxi Gomez may have emanated from Hammers contacting Celta Vigo about Gomez'z team mate Stanislav Lobokta, the 24 year old Slovakian midfielder, dubbed ‘the new Luka Modric', could be available for around €15-20 Million. Unfortunately any whimsical thoughts of a €60 Million double signing of both Gomez and Lobokta will have to remain a pipe dream, it appears pragmatism prevails, that is unless a 'big' name leaves the club of course.
According to Spanish news outlets, West Ham United have made an offer to sign Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan, this action being prompted by Andre Gomes essentially ruling himself out of a move to the London Stadium in preference of a return to Everton where he spent last season on loan. Jordan is a another 24 year old, which is in keeping with the new Husillos and Pellegrini 'mantra' to reduce the squad's average age, he is a playmaker has a €15million release clause in his deal, as is the norm West Ham have offered less than that for now, but even if the club have to pay full wack, Jordan could prove to be a really good acquisition.
Both Jordan and Lobokta are skilful with the ball, Jordan also has a good free kick on him and is superb at finding his ream mates with his precision crosses, Lobokta is a huge talent capable of playing 'in the hole' or in a more advanced role. Both players would be superb additions to what could become a young and dynamic squad capable of giving most teams a run for their money, Manuel Pellegrini should be able to continue where he left off in his quest to bring entertaining and successful football to fans starved of both for lengthy periods in the past. - Ed

The Real Reason West Ham Are Targeting Marseille Players
Despite ostensibly possessing a 'paltry' £30 Million transfer kitty, West Ham United have been linked with a plethora of players, the latest of which is Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson. The 24 year old previously played for Le Mans and Montpellier before joining Marseille in January 2017, Sanson plays in central midfield at the Stade Olympique but as Marseille failed to qualify for Europe this season after a fifth place finish in Ligue 1, the French side might need to sell some players to comply with FFP regulations.
The former France U21 international played 37 games for Marseille last season, scoring five times and providing four assists, which took his total Marseille goals to 18 and 14 assists in 108 matches. Having previously played 29 times for Le Mans and over 100 times for Montpellier, Sanson is experienced in the French leagues and looks an ideal fit for
Manuel Pellegrini who has identified the need for a new central midfielder as paramount.
Due to the vagaries and differences between the way business is conducted between clubs in the UK and Europe, there is a strong possibility that Marseille still owe West Ham money from the Dimitri Payet transfer, approximately €12 Million according to our sources. This would make the deal a lot easier to get over the line, however those DDoS experts at C&H are saying that their source immediately declared once contacted that “Sanson is certainly not at the top of our list – there’s interest in several.”
That may be the case, however given the current financial plight of both Marseille and West Ham, a deal looks like it may well happen. Mario Husillos, Hammers head of recruitment, is a wily old campaigner and is not going to telegraph his intentions regarding potential targets to other clubs and most definitely not to Weblogs!
With a bit of 'creative' accounting it is surprising as to how much 'paper' money can be generated, at the end of the day no one actually knows exactly how much money is available for new players, but one thing for sure is that the club are hardly going to 'announce' the real size or their transfer war chest, it will just up the prices being quoted. - Ed

Will Arnie Be Back?
Parents of petulant but gifted children will always try to excuse their bad behaviour by saying "they get bored, they are just much cleverer than the other kids", Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini knows all about 'clever kids', goodness knows he has 'dealt' with quite a few of them during his long and illustrious career. So the news that Marko Arnautovic is throwing his toys out of the pram will come as no surprise to the Chilean, but it doesn't mean he'll like it.
Body language can be a useful thing, it can overide language barriers and show elements from afar, if you couple that with vocal nuance it may give an indication as to exactly what is really going on between Marko Arnautovic and his brother and Manuel Pellgrini? It appears Pellegrini has had enough of his 'petulant child' and wants rid as soon as possible, the somewhat optimistic £45 Million release clause added to his 'new' contract was inserted for a reason, and that was to tell the World that 'Arnie' is available for transfer and that the club are ready to do business.
With the need for additional funds to overhaul the squad, a move away from the London Stadium looks to be the best solution to Arnautovic's 'grass is greener' stance. The Austrian international has recently stated that he wants to 'win' at the top level, again! There has been a steady stream of stories seeping out about clubs interested in Marko Arnautovic, no doubt instigated by his brother and agent, but there is definite interest. Manuel Pellegrini is to be admired for the composure that he is showing, he doesn't want to rock the boat further, and is content to let 'the waters run deep', but rest assured he will want the 'want away' player out as quickly as possible in order to get the club's intended acquisitions to the club at the earliest opportunity.
So long Arnie, it was good until it went wrong, the patch up was Elastoplast, for you and many others when money talks loyalty walks. - Ed
