*Klopp Wants Diop-Told To Take Reid Instead!

Liverpool's defensive woes have been a matter of wide spread media comment, Sunday's visitors to the London Stadium are currently without ANY established centre backs in their squad, captain Jordan Henderson has filled in admirably for them, however fans from both sides are of the opinion that Michail Antonio, Angello Ogbonna, Craig Dawson and of course 'Mr Potato Salad' himself, Tomas Soucek, will be a 'difficult' proposition to deal with for any back line, let alone one that is down to the bare bones!

That said, the way Liverpool carved Tottenham apart in their last fixture will serve as an acute reminder those Hammers fans, and possibly some players who have been getting ahead of themselves, that the visitors are still the League champions and as such deserve respect, but not too much of it. If Moyes sets his team up to defend and then hit the 'Pool' on the break then the result will only go one way, if however he gets his boys to really 'rat' the Liverpool players from the get go, then the result could see Hammers cementing their spot in the coveted top six.

The arrival of Jesse Lingard has been met with mixed reception, the reality is he is a far better option than the player who's place in the squad he has essentially taken, Bournemouth's Jack 'bite the hand that feedeth' Wilshere. Lingard is on the same salary except he doesn't have a permanent deal with wheel chair sponsors.

Jurgen Klopp's search for a centre back is almost hopeless now, the latest two injuries to his defence only occurred in the last 48 hours, so he has had no time to seek 'effective' replacements. Yesterday we mentioned that Liverpool had been 'sniffing around' for a possible loan player from the Irons, and our source told us that the player being offered to Liverpool after their enquiry is Winston Reid, as opposed to Issa Diop who they were originally enquiring about.

Diop's first team opportunities have been very limited since he was struck down with Covid-19, but David Moyes definitely sees Diop as part of his future plans especially bearing in mind Ogbonna is 32 years old and Dawson will be 31 years old in a couple of months.

Hammers fans aren't used to seeing their club loan players to members of the 'top six' elite Barclays Premier League teams, but if they are after something for nothing they can sling their hook, if Klopp wants a Hammers centre back, he can have 'Winny', the Kiwi captain would relish the opportunity of playing week in week out and despite his age is most definitely an upgrade of what Liverpool currently have available for their centre back berths. Well it's a nice feeling when the Champions come knocking and we tell them to basically go forth and multiply.....

As an aside I'm fully expecting deadline day to be all about us signing Josh King and that will go down to the wire.....

But also don't give them to much respect...going forward they are still a force to be reckoned with but at the back they are weak right now so if we are going to capitalize on that it has to be right now...Antonio will be a nightmare to handle Soucek to and i am sure they are having sleepless nights how to deal with those threats...as for us we do have the defence to cope with Mane Salah Firmino but we will have to be on the top of our game...as for the score it depends on the Ref! if its Lord Oliver you may as well give the bindippers the points the way he favours giving them penalties....COYI keep the belief going and lets do em 2-0

Why would diop want to go up north to Liverpool when in the best hammers side squad for years and living in the best city in UK and Europe? Quality player young and still learning waiting for his spot to come back strong after covid .

Our defence would not allow any room for anything like the goals they scored against the spuds...(lesson learned from Palace opening few minutes)
If we concentrate 100% for 96-98 minutes we will win by a hatful...I feel that we will be held up 6-8 minutes due to crap officiating and needless VAR calls...we all know its coming, eh?
We need to makes calls for the clocks to stop and start on the refs whistle. Anyone else agree or have a case against it?

Either way its an early night for the geezer as it's a 3.30am kick off in Sydney...hopefully the best start to the week for all us Hammers and Hammerettes with 3 well deserved points COYI X

They'll try and hit us with everything theyve got if thats the case i think our only hope is hit them on the break ,its guna test the like of Bowen ,Souchec and Benny but theyll have to get up to support Ant ,
That last 20 mins against palace ,we dropped off ,we looked pretty flat ,i feel the bindippers will wait till then to apply the reel presure ,this will be a real test for Les so it will be up to Angelo to keep him steady

in a swap for Origi, thinking about it I would agree to that as we need a striker to keep pushing forward. The other thing is it would give Diop game time to get his confidence back and I think it would help his game. Oggie is getting on a bit even though he is in the best form since he’s been here but sooner or later he is going to want to go home and we need Diop to take over so he needs to get back to how he was playing when Morinho thought he was a beast and he can’t do that sitting on the bench.

On our list of CB's. I personally feel it would be of great benefit for Diop to get some game time and experience at a top club. Better than being loaned out to Barnsley or the like.
