Moyes Ominous Words On Coufal

As late as possible, David Moyes announced that Vlad Coufal would not be playing against Newcastle citing that "He (Coufal) had a problem with his Hernia". This is not good, we at the Org were guilty of questioning Vlad's current run of form, as have been many media outlets.

Playing 'through' a Hernia was last attempted at the club by Mark Noble, it ended in him missing his most amount of games in one season due to him rushing back from a 'walk in walk out' much vaunted Hernia repair procedure at the time, that was fine for 'normal' people but NOT for Professional football players!

David Moyes selected Ryan Fredericks to start in Coufal's stead, but he was unable to make any impression going forward while looking very vulnerable in defence, he was hooked at half time with Johnson taking his place, Fredericks had also picked up a yellow card and was in danger of getting another.

Hammers now have eight days until they host Wolves next Sunday, after that they head to Southampton for the FA Cup fifth-round game on the Wednesday, followed by a trip to Liverpool on the Saturday. Three very tricky fixtures and ones that will really put the Irons defence to the test.

There is NO WAY Coufal can overcome a Hernia 'problem' in a week, he hasn't looked the same player ever since getting injured ages ago at Old Trafford. Johnson stepped up to the plate so well that Vlad was unable to regain his place until Johnson got injured himself, the problem is that Johnson has to cover for Vlad AND Aaron Cresswell.

We know it is a bit " I told you so" and not very constructive, but IF Hammers had strengthened in the Key areas that had been identified, then the current situation might have been averted. Without wishing to be all doom and gloom, it was ALL Doom and Gloom today. Perhaps it was just the weather? -LN

Every fan with any ounce of common sense could see what was coming.
Sadly the people who are SUPPOSED to have business nous have NO IDEA or interest in running a top flight football club.
All they saw in ‘rescuing’ our beloved Hammers was an opportunity to milk us for everything they could.
I invite anyone to tell me any decision they’ve made since they took over, that has been beneficial to West Ham United?
We have been sold down the river TIME AND TIME AGAIN with false promises.
As for ambition, well the only ambition they have is to make more money.

They've only ever been in it for the money & they've been blessed with good luck! Got a brand new stadium for peanuts, stumbled upon a manager that they didn't want, the pandemic made fans want to see live footie more than ever!!but even when they achieved the near impossible top 6 & then a real good chance of top 4 they revert to type & don't add to the squad! Whoever made that decision moyes or them, the buck stops with them

Been told its only a small one(hernia that is!)but minimum 4/6 weeks off work so for a pro footballer to be expected to perform it is ridiculous.

as for your post Metbobby i think you have covered the GSB era quite succinctly
