Pelle Pay Off Inevitable

Well, he was a 'dead man walking' in managerial terms, but the timing of Manuel Pellegrini's sacking as West Ham manager will raise a few eyebrows, not least because one of the prime candidates to take over at the London Stadium is the manager of the club's next opponents, Bournemouth, who themselves are deep in a relegation battle!

Quite who want to take over the poisoned chalice that is West Ham United is a cause of some conjecture, David Moyes would be a safe pair of hands, and is available now that Carlo Ancelloti has filled the vacancy at Everton. He would not be the fans' ideal choice, furthermore he didn't exactly part on good terms with the Hammers hierarchy following his previous six months of tenure after having replaced the sacked Slaven Billic.

The irony of the fact that Billlic's Baggies may well be going up from the Championship at the same time as the Hammers go down from the Barclays Premier League has not been lost by many fans, indeed there were many ahead of Pelle getting the chop who suggested Billic would be welcomed back with open arms, presumably not the ones who were calling for his head before he was sacked.

Who ever does come in will find a group of disparate and desperate players, there is talent there, but there needs to be a whole lot of 'shaking' to go on before they can play to a level that they should be playing at, a little commitment from the entire team instead of just one or two individuals wouldn't go amiss either!

The Press willl be having a field day, the question is, have the club left it too late to bring a fresh face in? Answers on a postcard please c/o useless recruting, london stadium, stratford, they will probably arrive at the same time that Pellegrini and his back room staff receive a massive settlement, for failing, only in the World of football could that generally happen, in most other walks of life failue is met with dismissal, with no generous pay offs. - Ed

The players have to be held accountable - it seems clear Pelle wasn't up for the job but how many managers have been and gone at the club now and we still have the same old issues to deal with? Seems like there's a culture of the players larking about, not taking things seriously - the club needs to stop all this social media nonsense, it's embarrassing. All these videos of training antics and behind the scenes stuff make the training ground look like a bleeding holiday camp! I'm sick of it - don't want to see any of these stupid videos until we start playing like a premier league team on the pitch. We need a strict manager and disciplinarian to round up these kids if we have any hope of turning around our dire form and competing as a team

Don't know when he'll be back again- certainly never in the premiership. What you see is what you get with Moyes, and i think its time for a British manager with a bit of backbone don't know if he's a disciplinarian but I don't think he will put up with any old crap from the wannabe superstars, we are deep in smelly stuff and who ever the manager is he will have his work cut out to stay in the premiership and if we go down there will be no coming straight back and the atmosphere in the goldfish bowl will be non-existent with about 35,000 if your lucky supporters are questioning whether they will renew their season tickets if we go down. We still got Leicester, then home and away to Liverpool and then away to Citeh in the next 6 weeks in this time we have Bournemouth, Sheffield and Everton we get 9 points there and we are out of trouble but still a big ask- no easy games in the premiership.

Seen it all before, five times relegated 5 times promoted. Almost every seven years. I agree with some that discipline is almost always the problem and installing it needs a strong manager and a strong back up staff of serious coaches. We have been relegated before mainly because we have lost it big time and all confidence has gone. The players just not performing just expecting to lose like yesterday.
Dont like Moyes or Pearce as his main back up but that is what we are going to get if rumours are true and Moyes is being interviewed as I write. It will be very close as his win percentage is low and draws the more likely outcome as he tries to pull us away from the relegation zone. 45 points needed this time as Watford and Villa will also be trying hard to get up the table. Big game v Bournemouth on Wednesday as well, lose that and it will be even harder to avoid the drop.
Ah well! seen it all before but I will still renew my season ticket as I believe one day we will get there.

A D Bonds

We may get there one day Bondsy but it not going to be with the poisonous 3 in charge. They are proving themselves totally inept at running a football club.

Moyes has been assigned to take over from Avram Grant.... oops Pellegrini.
I think that the Moyes will pep up the defence and will need to add another Mario style midfielder. Lanzini looks disinterested and Noble is just short of pace. Noble's spat with Ogbonna caused West Ham all the problems against Palace that led to a loss of concentration resulting in the most embarrassing winner by an average forward who finds it difficult to find the net on a consistent basis. Reid was on the bench and I wonder if Moyes will use his experience in helping to prop up the defence. Rice at least looks like he wants to move the club ahead, as he and Antonio are the only ones who really try to put in a shift. Fornals has the talent, but still lacks the confidence, and hope he improves his work rate after his equalising goal. Yes, West Ham should offload Sanchez, Wilshere, Ajeti and Lanzini during the January transfer window. They need to bring in some younger quality talents from the lower leagues that have the pace. Transfer from Europe is just not working out. Diangana needs to be recalled from West Brom and given a place in the starting 11. The West Brom fans love him.

been given an 18 month contract. I have absolutely NO problem about his appointment. Have you all forgotten that he got us playing some decent football prior to his other contract not being renewed?? He did what was said on the tin. He also got Arnie playing well and he may have stayed with us if Moyes had.
