Right Place-Wrong Time PAI

PAI's interest in buying West Ham owners out of the club has garnered more than a few headlines in the last few days, most of them 'divisive', there is nothing the media and opposition fans love more than to see a club in conflict, especially just ahead of a new season, especially if the club is West Ham!

The club has always received a disproportionate amount of media coverage, but the PAI(n)ful headlines currently doing the rounds don't seem to be doing either party a whole lot of good. On the one hand, David Sullivan emerges as a greedy dog in the manger who will retain his holding no matter what, irrespective of the consequences, whereas PAI have emerged as an outfit lacking gravitas and credibility.

The fact that the 'battle' is being fought out in full view of the media is unusual, these type of negotiations are generally held behind closed doors, at least until there is something tangible to announce. Perhaps this is David Sullivan's 'exposure hit'?, the Hammers majority share holder has been forced to keep in the back ground by David Moyes, as has David Gold, and up until this recent 'spat' they were relatively anonymous, especially compared to when they were on full chaff, with David Gold tweeting like there no budgies left!

Well, Mr Sullivan is bang in the media's cross-hairs now, as are PAI, but neither in our opinion has emerged 'smelling of Roses'. Sullivan appears even more recalcitrant and PAI look like a quickly thrown together outfit that lacks depth and historical accountability, especially with regards to the take over of one of the 'biggest clubs' in world football, yes really!

One has to question the timing of the proposed take over bid, it was too late to affect the club's player acquisitions for the impending Barclays Premier League season and too early to gain from the season's momentum if there is any, which is currently doubtful.

Playing the situation out in public is akin to washing your dirty laundry in full view, some might like doing so, they are called EXHIBITIONIST'S! It appears that is the one thing the hierarchy of both outfits have in common, the need for attention.

With the club in the hands of Exhibitionists AND Narcissists, how can it possibly go wrong? PAI's bid for West Ham is in the right place, but at the wrong time and can only serve to exasperate the club's current problems. - Ed

As far as I am concerned, David Sullivan is a KNOWN quantity and nothing that has happened recently can change our perceptions in any way shape or form. He also happens to OWN the club.
PAI Capitals, on the other hand with their recent appearance on the scene, have also told us all just as much about themselves as was known about Sully.
PAI Capitals don't give a flying #@$! about West Ham and have shown themselves to be a bunch of shysters during their social media led attempt to knowingly divide and disrupt the club, directly before the start of our most important season in years. They have No Right to publicly demand a sale at the price that they want, because they want it (for reasons unknown at this time). IF they were legitimate, were supporters and wanted what was best for this club, they would've conducted their business like all takeovers are conducted...in private and pending due diligence if accepted......then there would be the fanfare once a statement is released and the details revealed.
It's almost akin to someone knocking on your front door and releasing statements over social media saying that they have a right to buy your home. If supporters still can't see this, then we will be in for another unnecessary ride all over the media before the season begins.... Could this affect business that we are not privy to... Possibly!

At this stage we don’t know anything about PAI’ s plans for the club and the funds they might inject into it. If they are a Private Equity house their plan will be to buy the club , seek to enhance its value and sell it on for a profit within a 3-5 year period. They will not be long term owners like the oligarchs at Chelsea and City. So it is legitimate to criticise GBS for things you don’t like but not for not selling to an investor whose credibility and intentions are unknown at this stage. Look at Blackburn , Wigan etc.

All this consortium bollocks to me smacks of a whip round,in other words no one can really afford it till they club together,we need a set up where someone buys the club, ground and all, with money to invest, otherwise it will be the same set up as we have now,but with a consortium all pulling in different directions.
