Hooray, our first shot on target! Are we playing a different formation as we have no recognised left back? Generally bilic has shown an inability to adapt to situAtions

that we are giving away is a joke, don't they practice passing anymore. Jenkinson on the left was a bad choice, I would have thought Hendrie would be given a go. Dissappointed so far and I would replace Noble with Lanzini and drop Song back to defensive instead of him being forward.

Hendrie, Lanzini, and possibly Carroll (though if we got more creative in the middle of the park, Zarate might do better).

Don't know what to say about it, really. First ten minutes, West Ham showed they could play against this side, perhaps even boss the match. The only thing to worry about was whether we had enough confidence to score that goal. Then the wheels came off; all four of them. Since then West Ham have looked clueless. Poor passing, poor decisions, poor movement, and worst of all no real fight in the team. It's not a matter of talent, but I would really like to see Carroll and Lanzini start the second half. I think I would sub Zarate and Noble. Even though Antonio has been more or less worthless, Noble is not creative, not incisive, and we need someone on the ball in the centre, like Lanzini, who might make something happen. Antonio is a natural winger, so keep him in postion. Perhaps throw the dice and sub in Hendrie as well, who is a natural fullback. SOMETHING needs to change and fast; we're sat 12th as it stands now.

I like Antonio. Very keen to impress will run all day for the cause his downside at the momenthishe is too keen and often looks like a dog chasing a balloon. A few goals and maybe to calm down a bit we should get a better game from him

from 12th to 7th -- what a difference 3 points makes. Great fight back and good call from Slaven Bilic in the subs.

We were in 12th place at half-time now 7th!That was our most important win of the season imo...a loss today & i reckon slav would have been under a lot of pressure,Mentions-Antonio is immense if he could just finish a bit better!A.C is like marmite, you either love him or loathe him (when hes injured or not scoring!) Also got to mention ginge again,if we had let him go that would have been the steal of the century!!

Wonderful win. Great spirit and endeavour after a poor first half. Well done boys.

Antonio deservedly mom, bloke gives his all.
I can see defenders shitting themselves when he runs at them...I love him!
As for Carroll, well that just goes to show why the fella is so mustard - I'm pretty sure if he had the rub of the green with fitness he'd be absolutely first class.
Spare a thought for our Slaven, he hasn't had the greatest of luck with the injuries has he?!
COYI!!!!

Just a hunch when Antonio settles down he WILL be a player that will cause loads of problems for opponents. Even on his past few games I'd rather him than Moses

Valencia still not back to his best, Lanzini and Carroll not match fit, Payet, Moses, Sakho still to come back. Defeated a good team tonight -- a team that just beat Arsenal 4-0 -- VERY GOOD SIGNS for the Irons. Looking forward to the second half of the season now. Going to be a tough match against Liverpool, but still, a home match with something to play for.

PS: take THAT, Mark Lawrenson!

At last bilics subs seemed correct based on a second half that put us a lot more on the front foot based on reading the live bbc text commentary

After a disastrous first half, I never thought that we would have brought home the three points. In past seasons we would have lost this match, Antonio has been immense and as has been said Bilic has made the right substitutions and spurred the team for a win in true style west ham.

I worked today, but am glad that I taped the match. The way the Hammers performed in the first half was the bottom of the pits for this season. However, the the second half was a different story, thanks to Bilic adding some creativity in midfield with the still not fully fit Lanzini, coming on. He kind of added a zip in the step, and Antonio always had the pace, but for once he used it to the fullest effect, and that goal although lucky was fully deserved. He could have got a second as he almost scored a "Ravel Morrison" kind of goal i.e. carrying the ball from the top of the hammers box and running with it all the way to the top of the Southampton box. If he was a bit more composed and scored, that would have been the goal of the season. Yes Collins was a rock solid defender again today, and formed a great partnership with Ogbonna in defence. Carroll scored a predictable type of goal, and again a great setup with Jenkinson, Valencia and MOM Antonio all providing the assists. I thought that Valencia contributes a lot more when he plays as a winger. He adds more pace to the wings, that Zarate lacked. Hope he is okay to start the next league match. Well for once West Ham have goals scored at either end, thanks to Jenkinson's own goal in the first half.
