can't believe we didn't win that especially when Adrian saved the penalty and that kane knob got the rebound. its hard to take as the team played really well...coyi

Yes it was disappointing to draw after leading all the way through. Noble had his best game. Kouyate strong and great goal and Reid and Cresswell good. Thought Downing was only average. Song slightly better but risky in the tackle area and penalty cost us the win. If Sakho had passed to Valencia instead of shooting that was a clear goal. The performance was a vast improvement on last weeks debacle. Didn't get the Cole substitution when for once Nolan should have come on. Our bench is still weak really so we need to strengthen for next season. Well done boys, Shame you couldn't hold on to the very end. Luck didn't go our way (except for Noble not being red carded). Palace at home next so another performance like that and three points.

I thought Noble was poor today, too often passed the ball backwards including when he then had to drag back the lilyscum for his first booking. Awful challenge that resulted in Sam tking him off. If he'd have stayed on probably would have seen the game out but when you then replace a midfielder with an ineffective striker to hold on to a lead bad things can happen. Saying that the penalty was SOFT and any MAN would have stayed on his feet. Can see the future of English football, great diving cheats!!! As for Pinocchio saying they should have won, what game was he watching? Spuds were shite and if he thinks they played well at least they won't be playing Euro football next season, why improve when you can play that well. Mug!

sorry mate that doesn't make sense, if he was poor and kept giving the ball away, why do you think that him staying on would've saved us?

Can see the contradictory note but I felt after the poor tackle replacing a midfield player with a poor CF to solid things up was not the smartest move on Sam's part. Chatting to a mate at the time we both could hardly believe we were in agreement that Nolan would have been the better option. We were two goals to the good so why put a forward in the middle of the park?

It's shocking and last week I took a long drink when I saw Song leaving the pitch for Joey O'Brien, so if I felt like that how did Song deal with it?

Believe it or not I HAD TO LEAVE THE HOUSE WHEN WE

Believe it or not I had to leave the house when we were 2 up but Listened to the commentary in the car. Then it was 2- 1, thought we would hold out and then the penalty , the co- commentator said it was dodgy. While I would have taken a point before the game I was gutted at the end. From what I can gather BS went defensive after that bringing on CC.Having seen the penalty it was soft but Song has a habit of using his arms when tackling players, so these days any contact a player will go down. Much improved performance from the week before.

i know how you feel Cath, big mistake bringing on Cole instead of Collins , no wonder the ordinary fan has no time for Sam when he does things like this, Carlton 's heart is in the right place but he's out of touch with the rest of the team, he doesn't have the legs anymore , i was watching it with a mate (not a hammer ) and i had to laugh he said " bleedin hell burkie one of you players is down and none of your lot wants to put the ball out " i thought to myself why am i not surprised

Do you remember a world cup finals game from maybe 20 years ago when the ref (he was English) blew up for time as one side (cant remember who was playing) took a corner? The ball went in the net from the corner, but he had blown for time as the ball was in the air... result RIOT! lol Since then I've never seen a ref do that sort of thing again. It's not in the rules, but I think there is an unspoken "rule" among refs that they do not stop a game while action that might lead to a goal is happening.

He disallowed a goal for Brazil from a corner in the World Cup. As soon as the player kicked the ball he blew for full time .

Ah yeah, thanks Blackie. Nowadays, when a ref wants to blow for time, he often waits until the ball is in the air, in a "safe place." How many time do you see full time being blown just as the keeper kicks out? I'm sure they do it to prevent controversies, but strictly they should blow when time runs out (like Thomas did) regardless of where the ball is, or what's happening. Sam's right, I've long thought time-keeping could easily be one less thing for the ref on the field to worry about, you could even have a clock like they do in Gridiron, stopped and started by an extra official. Wont happen with Luddite Blatter of course.
