A right back with experience and quality but I'm happy with the central defenders. I wouldn't want to see Oxford and Burke frozen out. Up front we need a goal poacher. We could possibly do with a box to box midfielder for when Kouyate is away in the winter but that could have to wait until the January window. Not bad for a club almost out of existence 5-6 years ago.
Chelsea are going to exploit the right hand side so it will be interesting to see if Slav plays Byram or Antonio at full back?
It'll be intriguing to see where he play's Ayew tonight (if picked) as well though.
Back to the signings, we definitely need another defender (or two) and a fox in the box poacher would see us right - Lots of fixtures coming up and we need that strength in depth to take into account the inevitable injuries more so than fatigue.
Maybe play three centre backs and allow Antonio free reign to run up and down the right channel. If he plays a flat back four I'm afraid Chelsea will exploit him. Also looking forward to see how Ayew will link up with Carroll or will they swap places? Bring it on.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I don't mind him at RB. I want him on the pitch that's for sure and when everyone is fit, and if Byram plays at RB he won't get a look-in. If we play a flat back four it would be Byram, Reid, Ogbonna and Cresswell as first choice in that scenario. The midfield would be Noble and Kouyate. I think that Ayew , Payet and Tore will then play in the three behind Carroll. As much as I love Antonio, I'm not sure he's better than those three. Add to that Feghouli, Lanzini, Samuelson, plus Valencia & Sakho who are still there. I just think that's why he gets joy because he's not marked. He can get behind a lazy left winger easily. Back to goal receiving the ball wide, I'm not sure he's as good as we think. I'd rather someone like Dicks spend time with him to make him into a sound defensive FB and have him on the pitch. Just my opinion obviously.
The game on monday only cements the gap that still exists ,the pooh looked very good againt Arsenal ,manua once they went into third gear were good as well considering what they have on the bench ,personally i think its between those two and Chesea not forgetting Cieth of course
Personally i'll be happy for us to have a top 10 finish,i'm looking at this one as a settling in season, taking a few so-called big scalps on the way, unlike the Boleyn teams are gona fancy themselves at the OS

Hard to say!

That's exactly where Antonio
That's exactly where Antonio is at his most effective - Imagine him going full tilt at you with the ball if you are a defender....Terrifying.
So three centre backs it is then Jozi and up front Ayew playing off Gateshead's finest in the number 10 position....I wonder what the manager will do?

Spot on
And it showed tonight, Antonio didn't do what was asked and Bilic's reaction proved that when he came off I thought.
true i just think he's a more
true i just think he's a more skilful wide more. Antonio can have the 'Wanchope's" about him sometimes
