Possible line-up:-

Randolph

Jenkinson Oxford Burke Page

Poyet Lanzini Jarvis Samuelsen

Nolan Maiga

I reckon that is a good shout and will be close to the starting eleven.

Wish I was mate :-(

A lot of people were saying we didn't have the strength in depth to progress in this competition. I guess this will tell.

I've read a few comments on the site re the forthcoming game in North London. Please lets be honest, does anyone believe that we have a chance of getting anything there? Our record against this team is poor, we have hardly gained any points from meetings in the past few years, we are a team in transition but that is ok, surely our main aim is six points from our next two home games. Believe me a point from this match would make my year let alone day as most of my family support this team, who I try not to mention! Anyway the best I feel we can hope for is a performance from our team that can indicate a spirit that was sadly absent in the second half of last season. Sod the result here please lets see some fight, some passion and perhaps some skill, all not apparent of the team last season, but then we had the Allarcrap experiance.

If we get a draw i will be amazed! But like you say i want to see a westham team show a bit of fight & passion & hopefully a new attacking style. Not too much to ask for is it??mmmm

Is it a case of throwing in the towel. Because IMO we won't beat Arsenal especially at the Emirates and was hoping he'd give it a go tonight. Is it going to be Forest all over again, hope not. Has any Premiership team not qualified for the group stages for the Europa league.

Bilic says that it was alway the plan that anyone to be involved in the Arsenal game would not be involved in the second leg against Astra, so I guess we only have ourselves to blame for throwing away the advantage if this U21+ side can't win tonight. If we can't even get through these qualifiers perhaps it's for the best... but I bet Ginge is feeling VERY unhappy just now.

im not too fussed about this evenings game now.id like us to have a good run but if we do it could well be a thorn in our side playing on a thursday evening as well as the weekend (bless the poor souls!!).prob best to concentrate on the prem, but saying that i dont expect much from the arse game, even with our strongest 11....oh to be a hammers fan eh!!;)

I think it is very poor show to put out a weakened team against Astra.A lot of fans have spent their money going to Romania and our poor little players cant be expected to play 2 games in 4 days.Anything against Arsenal is always a bonus and I have a feeling that by Sunday evening we will be out of Europe and have no points in the Premier League.

Really want to see us progress, if we throw away the chance of playing in Europe then we really need three points at the Emirates. I guess we are aiming for a champions league place next season as clearly no point going for the Europa, not much point qualifying for a competition which will be a distraction from trying to qualify for it again! I guess trying to win it hadn't crossed anyone's mind

I agree with what Koeman said in the press that it is crazy NOT to play his full strength side against Alkmaar,...and Southampton are 3-0 up after the first leg! He is treating the Europa Cup for what it is a European competition ,isn't that what all premier league clubs strive to qualify for? I think whoever is responsible(Bilic or the board) for the decision to take a weakened side to Romania lack ambition, and have got their priorities wrong. The current squad are well off champions league quality ,the best we can achieve ,is top 8 which could gain a Europa place, which is the competition the club are already in,and yet the club are prepared to blow it .If this all backfires tonight, and Astra beat Westham then they have only themselves to blame, and to make matters worse Westham could be going into the Arsenal game ,low on confidence, and on the end of another defeat. What has that achieved ,sweet F.A,out of Europe and pointless after losing to a side we all thought we would lose to anyway.I just hope Bilic is right about picking a team that can do the job,I don't want him to fail, but to me he is setting himself up for a backlash

Don't get me wrong, I was sort of agreeing with your initial post but seeing what happened today and the number of injuries that we have picked up over the past couple of years I now think he was probably right? You going next Saturday?
