Chelski game

So the champions up next. And however poorly they have been performing to date this season, we all know what great players they have, players who if they turn it on can win a game by themselves. However, they have a trip to Kiev (Ukraine isn't exactly a holiday destination just now!) on Tuesday, probably not getting back home until early morning on Wednesday. So they'll have only 2 days to prepare for the trip to The Boleyn. Success in Europe is very important (probably more so in Ukraine!) to Abramovic (to please his mate Vladimir), so I expect a strong side to be put out in Kiev. Quite who we will face in the Chelsea team is therefore a bit of a guess. The moaning one is worried about his defence, and dropped Hazard because of it against Villa! I sincerely hope he drops him against us, as he was dynamite last season.
But whoever is in the Chelsea team I expect them to be very wary of our attacking prowess. I wouldn't be surprised to see Valencia and Antonio get a half each replacing Moses. Another possibility is to bring in Obiang, and push Noble forward a bit, also allowing Kouyate a bit more freedom to support the front men. LOTS of options at West Ham these days!
I think Mourinho will actually be quite defensive, and rely on his quality players to sneak a goal or two, so we will need to be patient and take our chances. Don't see much in this game and it could go either way... I just hope Costa gets sent off!! :-) 2-1 to the Appy Ammers!!

Nice post Bully, love the Abromovich, Putin connection! Watching highlights show now in Oz and watching Chelski got me to thinking about our home game against them coming up. What a perfect opportunity to cement our credentials and deliver a home performance that has matched our away successes so far. You're right that they've got a tough Euro game ahead and hopefully somewhat fatigued when they face us. A shame Moses can't play but a great chance for someone to give Bilic a selection headache when he returns. Patience is the key. We've got attacking threats in abundance which seems to have hit us in the face considering our lack of it the last few years! We've got to listen to Slav and ensure we're defensively sound, as you say Chelski have quality throughout so we need to do exactly as Slav has just said in his post match interview. Defend as a team and attack as one. With confidence sky high, this is the right time to play them and start the farewell Boleyn party!
Now my June tip is not a win but I must say I can't remember the last time I Was this buoyant about facing the Champions. COYI

chelski were the club I despised more than any other in London more so than millscum/spuds....and whenever we beat them it means more to me than any other win.....just something about that club gets under my skin more than any other...so regardless of the moaning one and there form I want us to make his woes greater I want to stuff them with classy football and rub there noses in it oh for a 3-0 win that would be some victory COYI

A ruck of Chelski mates at our local were reminding me what happened to our form last season after we played them on Boxing day last season...IMO I think this is the best time to play them. I wonder if we will be on last again on MOTD ????

I agree Bully the superstars they have each one can win a game themselves I just pray the bubble doesn't burst for us, even if we lose I'll be a happy hammer if we give them a hard time in the process .
It's a shame were not on Sky I myself tried twice to get the Saturday off for the game, not knowing the ticket prices at the time, ( I'm glad I'm not now ) my Chelski mates are not happy with the prices and there only going as it's there last visit to the Boleyn...

I would expect the view to be good there, I was in the betway against Norwich view would have been good but was to low down so couldn't appreciate the game as much as you need to be above it, which is where you should be.

Dear Mr Noble please do not let your players get sucked in by Costa's antics and cheating tattics and of the ball incidents just make sure you don't retaliate our fans will bring it to the refs attention and with a bit of luck that roll all over the floor, tread on your toes cheating B*st*rd will go because its a dead cert there is going to be incidents and accidents at this match, just make sure its one of theirs that get the red card and not one of ours. Really looking forward to this game just hope it dont end up a chess match between Mourinioooo and Slav.
