so we line up again in 4-2-3-1. same as southampton. Bilic can't legislate for things like fonte ridiculousness, zabaletta throwing it away, arnautovic acting disgracefully and noble almost being sent off. But he needs to create an environment of confidence, of players playing as a team. our defending is plain embarrassing. 7 goals conceded in the first two games? wtf. I like Bilic, but its getting to a point where it just looks like he isn't strong enough to get the hairdryer out and insert it into some backsides. this obsession too with one up front is getting on my ***s. he put sakho on late against man u, we look better. he puts him on again today, we look better. why not drop the waste of space Ayew (yes i told everyone he was good, now I'm telling everyone he's rubbish, betty was right he's too lightweight). our shape is all wrong. we're not playing to our strengths. our strengths are antonio and hernandez and lanzini (if he ever plays for us again). so set the team up to get them involved. hernandez is a goal poacher, he's always in the right place at the right time…but he can't hold the line up there alone especially when you ask him to wait for service from arnautovic and ayew which never comes. put someone up there with him for god's sake man. whether its arnautovic (after his 10 match ban), sakho or carroll when fit but do something different. tired of watching us be the team everyone wants to play for an easy game. we need some aggression and i don't mean Arnautovic elbowing his way through teams…i mean some players to work relentlessly and be physically strong. Fonte is disgraceful at the back, Ogbonna doesnt command either, Hart is also letting me down, whether he's shocked by the people in front of him or not, he needs to pull it up or get Adrian in instead. regardless, we need some ruthlessness from the manager as well as the players.

Hart was good once he aint anymore,7 goals shipped in 2 games,if it was randolph he would be getting dog abuse!

is the line up just too attacking? we all like attacking football but i think he needs a rethink. noble and rice/obiang are left doing all the work (or at least supposed to do it). i think he needs to drop ayew and go 4-3-3 with rice, noble and obiang in a 3. push antonio wide right, arnautovic left and hernandez through the middle. hernandez then gets his support and the back line has 3 in front of them.

after last seasons defensive woes and regular stuffings nothing seems to of been learned 2 games played 7 goals conceded..you can have all the attacking threat you want but if you cant keep them out you will lose and get relegated....people may laugh its only two games but moyes said the same at sunderland last year he was proved right....lose at newcastle next week and pressure will be on and we all no how well our players cope with pressure!! hart was a wrong decision we needed one maybe two top class c/b's as bilic clearly does not think burke/oxford are ready yet and rice he played in midfield when he is a natural c/b....young he maybe but clearly a better option to fonte.

did noble get booked for that horror tackle on the saints player? because if he didn't is there not a panel now that reviews those decisions and can take action if no card shown.

Ok so we've got a proper goal poacher, but if we have to score 3 or more goals to win a game it's just not on,bottom line is when you can't defend you can't win football matches,i'm beging to lose faith with slav

As much as he can be a good attacking player I think Areusillybollocs has already shown his true colours, he is not a Team player and never will be! What a stupid and gutless swipe at a fellow professional using one of the most lethal parts of the body? Why would you elbow someone in the neck and then turn to the referee and the player as if you did nothing? What is the point? Absolute tosser in my book and I'm fuming!!! Maiga and Cole always got stick from me but this twat has taken over from them. Hernandez reactions in the box for his goals shows you we got the best deal out of anyone, so its not all bad and have faith!

The really bad defence was shown on the Gabiadini goal. Basically they could've walked the ball down the park and into the goal. The penalties were bad for lack of discipline. Both things really bad sign of team organisation, but the defence with 10 men was better than last week with 11. I would, however, bring Adrian in right away. But they won't, 'cos they're paying so much for Hart. Probably a clause in his loan deal that we can't return him unless he's doing really well. Last season was unravelling, we brought Adrian in, we got better. nuff said. Finally, 4-2-3-1 ain't workin' (but you knew that); Chicharito can score 20 if he gets service; Buy Carvalho and keep Lanzini and we'll be competitive.

It was a good finish but he scuffed the ball a bit, was hardly a zinger... Hart should of saved that! Adrian back in the team

Couldn't do much worse at the moment to be fair! Fonte is pants and Hart should be dropped, seen no evidence so far of his previous international form. Bilic should apply his Randolph/Adrian logic and give Adrian a go! Said it time and time again, having Adrian in goal is like having another defender on the pitch... in footballing terms I feel sorry for the bloke, what has he really done wrong??

Said the same in another thread - Get Adrian back in...hart should stick to the head & shoulders ads!!

probably long term with our luck we need a decent c/b that can command the back line and Fonte cannot, and Oggy needs someone like Reid to lead him and push him. Ayew is dogshit and should be sent out on loan for the rest of his contract and dare I say it captain courages Mark Noble, the ref had his attention pulled away by the first incident otherwise we would have been down to 9 players. I think it's time to put him on the bench, bring him on late in the game to work with the defence but other wise not starting material now.As for our major signing and most expensive player, the club should fine him a months wages for every game he is banned, hitting him in the pocket is the only way these dickheads will understand.

You bring on Nobes late in the game to help the defence and we'll be conceding the most number of goals in the last 10mins of any club in history. The guy is turning into a liability

I'm the same RNI, but his lack of pace, constant sideways/backward passes or atrocious tackles are not helping in any way. great for morale boosting and grit and determination but his brain is way faster than his body and is letting him and us down
