13 mill bid now apparently. thats more like it tbh. there was never a chance he would go for 5 mill. he's old yes, so its a lot for a 34 yo but in my opinion he's good for another two seasons at least. would be great for us upfront if you ask me. not sure if we are going to up the Hogan bid, seems to have gone dead. celtic want 30 mill for dembele, which at least says they would sell. i guess its up to the board how badly they want him now.

Defoe and Hogan for me are

Defoe and Hogan for me are good signings. One to get us through this crap patch and the other to develop for the future. Glenn Johsnon will definitely come, add to that maybe Snodgrass, Fabregas (loan). I think we could get a good top 8 finish with them. I'd love a win tonight to push for a cup run too, so we are going to need these extra players.

Thought we were forward looking

I was not a fan of this deal and to read we are also looking at Glen Johnson....thought we was looking to the future, suppose we'll be sniffing around Carrick, Stanislas and Behrami next. Thought the new stadium was the relaunch of an ambitious forward thinking era but it seems the barrow boys just want to keep the old girl ticking over in the prem.
