The gulf between the top 6 7 and 8 and the rest appears to be getting wider i never thought i would see the dross served up yesterday again but i was wrong i watched the W B A v Stoke game today and the first thing that came into my head was how in the name of god are people content to pay good money to watch this shite ,at least yesterday the magpies put in a shift ,as for managers loosing the dressing room i think its goin to be a near thing who's the first to get the gooner Slav or Wenger its a strange phenomenon but when the boss doesn't have the support of the players thats it there's no getting it back ,wenger might as well pack his bags tomorrow

can be bothered actually putting in a shift for teams outside the top 6-8; or even the top four. Well, that's an exaggeration: you have people that have come up from the lower leagues playing for a side like Huddersfield who want to impress the FANS no matter what; that sort of thing. And I love that; it's worth celebrating. But you have all sorts of other players who are just looking for the big pay packet, and looking to be snapped up by the top 6-8 or even the top four, and don't give a rat's arse for the team that signed them for, say, £30 Million!!!! This is becoming so common it's now the rule rather than the exception. And so players on teams like Stoke, WBA, and dare I say WEST HAM, really don't care to put in the effort in summer training, or preseason friendlies, or the start of the season -- for a little while they'll put in a shift to avoid relegation and after that, they'll just be getting their agent to either (A) get them a new six year contract that means nothing to them or (B) get them a big-money transfer to a top 6-8 (or top 4) side.

You right ashes there's no loyalty anymore ,for loyalty you have to have an identity and im afraid we lost that when we handed in the keys to the Boleyn ground

its already crashed. more and more fans are seeking out non league football. As a I've said before the game will have no tackling in the top flight in 10 years. It will only resemble a computer game which will suit the younger fans. The younger fans will also be more transient and switch clubs based upon who they sign or who is winning. The days of the paying punter are numbered, the money is pricing them out, the disparity between them and the fans is too great. I don't actually watch any other football apart from West Ham. It bores me, it's too sterile and too pure. Like ATKNB I feel like this could be my last season as a STH. I think that next year I'll take the kids to more rugby and do the odd game now and again. Eventually fans will stop going and it will just be corporate entertainment. The owners don't care about the virtual fans, and aren't interested in social media revolts, so I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. They don't have much regard for the paying punter either, the new ground and facilities are a rip off for what you get and accessibility is crap. It's ok if you go to the athletics once year but week in week out it's a chore. They probably listen to booing, but they were clever in tying in STH's for 3 years, so it's unlikely people will walk away having already paid. We're stuck with the board as they are the owners of the club, we can't sack them, we just have to get on with it, or find something else to take up our time.

it's how i feel too mate. I really only go now because of my boys who love it still, but i think they are listening to me too much and getting a bit cynical about it all. I don't think developing the old site would've worked as the infrastructure there was too old to get in and out of the area. I don't know what the answer is TBH, maybe stadiums being off a motorway in the future like the A13 at Dagenham, with purpose built roads, rail inks and parking. I can't see because eo the demand for success and money the old stadia holding up, its a shame really
