The green shoots of recovery, or at least some positivity

After the fall out of yesterday's victory it's hard not to get carried away, so I'm trying not to be. Firstly well done the players, the effort will be greatly appreciate by the fans. it's what we need to get behind you, not you just telling us! You got it because you deserved it. For me I didn't get to see it but followed it on radio five, I must say it gave me a real blast from the past. For the first 20 mins I was driving but stayed glued to the radio parked in a car park for another hour and a half! It was that enthralling. I must say Moyes is starting to impress me. He has only been here a few games but has already identified what bilic didn't in 2 years. He has got us fitter, we look better organised and it's great to see their is actually a game plan that includes some well thought out substitutions. Ok we all said we needed that. What he has also done is made some big decisions that might become a bit inspired. Firstly it took Hardly any time for him to decide he wanted masaku AND cresswell playing down the left. (Some on here suggested it) he for the moment anyway has decided to play cresswell at left centre back in a 3! That came a bit left field for me! He has also preferred big mick up top ATM maybe for his strength and ability to relieve pressure by gaining ground. (Maybe we need that style of forward and maybe he will stick with mick at least to the end of the season). And finally he was happy to make the big call of dropping hart. He also didn't automatically didn't play Carroll. He has now set a standard to his players it's his way! Stick to your guns David if we can get 3 points above relegation we will go from strength to strength.

After the couple of dodgy performances against watford & everton,i was wondering "has moyesy bigged himself up too much too early!!" but tbf to him he has done everything hes said he wanted to do...hes got the fans on side as well in a very short time,& the players look completely different to the ones a couple of months back,WELL DONE the new manager...

Moyes looks so much more happy than I ever remember him at Man U, Everton or Sunderland. He always looked so sour faced. Im sure that will change but to see the hard work clearly done on the training ground result in some unexpected success has to energise everyone involved.

talked about how he heard he was out of a job by an employee phoning asking for the clubs ipad back! and he said there are a number of players just plain lazy who always played up injuries and were backed by the physio...he said thats why the medical staff were changed for this season....now why does he not name names and shame these players? i'd like to no though i think we already do.

Before we let euphoria overwhelm us again you've got to remember we still have big problems like its harder as the season goes on to move up ,earlier 3 points could lift.you 5 or 6 places now 1 or 2 ,i ve been on about this before but im sure theres a problem with Antonio he just seems to run out of puff all to soon his legs turn to led and he looks awful, big problems still with finding a suitable goal scoorer, when Elbows and Ant went.off and Ayew and Sacks came on our attack completely diminished and some excellent defending came to our rescue, they waisted chance after chance that normally they would have put away blindfolded ,i m o we made a big mistake ,or Sullivan did should i say not signing.Austin ,im lookin forward to Wednesday's clash with Arse ,it will say more about our improvement than any pundit can ,lets go for it

No, pre season, along with Injuries and being rushed back to often, means Antonio is very unfit imo. Moyes though is gradually building it up But without injuring him. He lasted 10-15 mins longer fitness wise then he did vs city, and he did a shit ton of running! He will get there!

Was awful and yes, I'll grant it may be down to fitness or not playing in hus favoured position. Thats one reason, the jury is still out for me on Moyes. Also baffled by his subbing of Arnie when clearly Antonio was finished, never mind bringing on Ayew for him. Needed Carroll for Arnie in my opinion and Sakho would have been on for Antonio. Clearly it went tits up at some point as Fernandes was all ready originally to come on so Moyes missed something there.
Law of averages says you'll win a game eventually by parking the bus and 2 shots on target, one of which went in. in the 6th minute and 30 odd % of possession means that it was a pretty one sided match. This is not to say there were no positives, there were. Fitness looks much improved, players seemed to know there jobs, there was a willingness to support and not least the decision to bring in Adrian which for 99.9% of us was a no brainer. Surprised to hear Hart was unhappy about the decision but maybe this confirms some deal had been made "guaranteeing" himself first team games.
Chicarito is an enigma and I doubt we'll see him against the Arse. Stats state that all of his goals come from inside the box and set up like we are so far isn't going to favour him. It should do against the lesser teams as hopefully we'll come out of our shell a bit and we will see if Moyes/Chico unfriendliness has evaporated at all.
I'll wait a bit longer before getting over excited on one win, no matter how enjoyable it was.

Based on the way we are playing, I'm not sure Hernandez is now the right player for us? Granted we have probably needed to play a certain way for the last 2 games and again v ars but I also think he will expect Hernandez to pull his weight along with the others. I'm not saying he is lazy but I do question if he is what Moyes ATM needs.

And was surprised to see him start against the Arse. My reference to Carroll was for the Arnie substitution, not for Antonio. We ended the game with midgets all up top against Chelsea and were never going to get a second goal like that.
