Any streams ?

Just back from the game good crack in the West Ham end. Great old school chants and signing. Far better than the game. None of the new guys looked impressive. Introduction of noble, snodgrass and rice improved things. Passing improved with noble and rice, the latter looking imperious as a defensive midfielder. After they scored we looked lethargic and not up for it. Once rice and noble came on we took over. Defence looked slow, flat footed and clueless. Arnie was ok too. Saed looked decent for his run out too.

I'm looking forward to seeing Pellegrini at West Ham this season. I had a lot of respect for the way he handled himself at City especially during the end after the way he was treated. As for my Sam Allardyce preference, there isn't one person who can persuade me that we didn't take massive steps backwards from all the groundwork and consolidation he laid with the appointments of Bilic and Moyes.
Now, with Pellegrini, we have to start all over again. Let's hope it pays off. Because if it doesn't :) .........

This was a man, and a whole world, who knew he was out of a job for Pep about 3 months before the end of the season. Bet that was terrific for morale.

Your comments on Allardyce are 100% correct. But to be fair to Moyes, he was firefighting from the day he walked in and wasn't to blame for the damage that was done in the 18 months prior.
Too many on here are genuinely deluded. In as long as West Ham have been a "sack the manager" club, Sam Allardyce is the one man who has come in and done exactly what he was employed to do, and rather than castigate him we should have thanked him for his work and wished him well.
And yes, if I'd have cupped my ear to the so called "fans" after the Hull game too.

I was the same towards sam, mostly backed him but the last 6 months of his tenure was bloody terrible to watch...we are supposed to be the deluded ones but what success did he achieve whilst with us??he took us up (only just via the play offs!!) with a squad that any half decent manager would have got us up at a canter,he kept us up for a couple of seasons granted, but for all the abuse slav gets (& deservedly so in the end) bilic actually had higher prem finishes than Allardyce. At the end of the day westham managers come & go you back them, but sack them when it goes pear shaped so i dont understand the sam love-fest...
I wasnt one of the people who booed the performance at the Hull game cos we still won that day,but jeez i do remember it was one hell of a sh*t performance....

And Moyes. He was given a six mth contract to ensure we wasn't relegated. Job done. Firefighter or not without his tenure we would be a Championship club now.

That you get to see a game with 4,000+ hammers away fans having a craic in a pre-season friendly just round the corner from you...if you want proper disappointment rock up at the new place for a monday night 6 pointer relegation battle under the floodlights!!

It was great in the away end. It seemed like we dragged the second from the team after a rendition of "we are west hams claret and blue army" that seemed to last a good 15 mins that was only interrupted by Arnies goal. It rattled around the stadium reminiscent of the old days. Gave the same buzz as that Icelandic clap. With good support of "are you lampard in disguise?" Sung to the fat bloke sitting behind the goal giving us the normal gestures. Game was a bit of a washout but our end was worth the admission alone.

Rating? Fabianski had little to do, looks a bit small for a keeper 6, fredricks, can't defend and predominately right footed. 5 baluna (or what ever) slow, poor passing flat footed 4 ogbonna okish better in second half 6 masaku decent going forward but can't defend 6 kouyate, did some excellent work pointing and shouting 4 obiang 6 yarmalenko and Anderson game largely passed them by 5 each. Wilshere one of the better players in first half 6.5. Arnie 7.5. Noble 7 rice 8 hasabanovic 7 the rest all 6

Guess we shouldnt be shocked that until Noble and Rice came on we struggled to keep the ball for long parts of the game. Kouyate and Obiang both absolutely useless.

You are correct, for long parts of the game Kouyate and Obiang were both absolutely useless. It is no surprise that both feature prominently in transfer out news either!

His best position is center back? Ive also been slating him for 2 seasons saying hes crap. Now you suddenly don't wanna back him anymore, and admit you were wrong on him him. You bring up a pointless point about me thinking his best position is center back? A position he came on at during the world cup and a position he started for senegal just prior to the world cup.

What it says about pellegrini is that he doesnt think Kouyate is a better center back then Balbuena, Diop, Rice, or ogbonna which would be correct.
