So the costs for the conversion of the Olympic Stadium have reared their ugly head once more, after seeing an increase in costs from the early estimates. If the government and the Olympic committee had thought about the legacy before then maybe the initial build would have been very different and the subsequent costs would have been a lot less than what is being touted now. The comparison to Wembley is being mentioned by MP's but they forget that the costs for this also soared above the original estimates and warnings were communicated but ignored. As the costs rose towards the £1bn barrier, Multiplex announced that they would incur a multi million pound loss and they didn't expect to be bidding for the OS. They also went on to state that they hoped that 'the lessons learned at Wembley should be strongly heeded by the Games organising committee and the government'. So what went wrong in the 10 years of planning the new Wembley and the subsequent Olympic Stadium? and why should we be dragged through the mud when we are the only feasible option to ensure that the stadium is used appropriately? A victim of another government problem of failing tax payers when we are offering a solution??? Your opinions?

It's got a very nasty air about it all, there's clearly a pointed finger at West Ham - with the constant demand for the 'secret deal' made transparent. I think we will never live down the Tevez-gate affair... It's the usual bulls**t of people looking for the simple route to blame rather than looking at the bigger picture. We are the fall guys! Expect this last season at the Boleyn to be under constant scrutiny, I hope it doesn't marr it for us fans because we deserve the move.

To be honest I'm sick of the whole thing. We don't own the stadium we just rent it, we can't sell it off, it still belongs to the tax-payer. Nobody did us any favours, they got the best deal they could. Some people are jealous... F**k 'em!

Why not go tranparent if The Dildo Brothers have nothing to hide? I personally am not particularly happy that we are moving to a rented stadium that is being mocked up to play football. I find it strange that we could never redevelop the East Stand because of the bus garage but as soon as we get the OS the bus garage goes. As an old timer who was, and still is against the move there's a lot that smells of our move to the OS that I am quite interested in never mind Hearns ulterior motives.

About all this , when money men and the government are involved there all sharks . But at the end of the day this was bad planing they just built a stadium for two weeks and that was that. Did no one say what about when the Olympics is over what are we going to do with it Drrrrrr.

im sure if it had been awarded to Leyton Orient under the same terms then Hearn would not have been complaining. Most of it though I am sure is Journalists stirring things up

First we had Tottenham involved in skulduggery to support their bid, then Hearn was looking for a windfall, now Charlton are doing some mud raking: http://www.castrust.org/2015/06/west-ham-and-the-olympic-stadium-the-hea...

Sadly I think the noises will get louder as our move to the Olympic Stadium gets closer. The pressure will really be stepped up if we struggle this season. However the information Charlton fans have turned up does show what a good deal West Ham have got, so credit to Gold, Sullivan and Brady for striking a hard bargain.
