Nolan. What is happening with him. I know we go on about him and who rubbish he is now, but why is he still starting. Is Bilic trying to prove a point that he can't play up top anymore and we need new personnel? Is he trying to put him in the shop window for offers? My biggest disappointment with him isn't that he's crap now, I saw enough of that last season to tell me that, it's that he's not even a good captain anymore. He used to be the one barking orders and haranguing the ref, now he's this quiet subdued figure. Jenkinson and Cresswell had mares on Saturday, that was clear to see, but I was particularly disappointed that no senior player and especially Nolan went over to Cresswell after the pass back howler. They left him and he had to walk back knowing he's now culpable for two goals. Watch Palace vs Villa, where the Palace defender scores an own goal. Watch how Puncheon runs over to him to console him and gee him up. this is what team work and leadership is about. If Nolan can't do this what has he got to offer us, any club or football anymore?
Noble goes quiet when he's on the field too, it's like a captain's limbo. He's the natural captain but when Nolan plays he has to almost bite his tongue. I'm sure Lee would have been a better option on Saturday and I'm praying that Bilic has learnt from it. We have no natural width at the moment and if you want to pass the ball out you need willing receivers of the ball and the ability to stretch teams. Surely this must've been Nolan's last game for us?

If Elliot lee was good enough he would be playing. Why do fans chase after players who dont play and then make out that these players are going to be saviors for us. Im not saying nolan is brilliant but if nolan and maiga are playing ahead of others then what does that say. "Oh he looked lively for the development team so he must be good" Thats why its called development team. He wasnt that affective when he was sent out on loan

I think I'd probably like to see him start a game. In hindsight, and that is a luxury, I would have liked to have seen him start against Bournemouth. I think our movement is stifled by having players like Nolan in the team. Whether or not we can still make a judgment on him after one game is still to be seen. Oxford was brilliant against Arsenal and then poor against Leicester, do we think he won't play again? I think Bilic made a mistake in playing Nolan, which is ok if he learns from it. I'm not chasing after players and making out he's our saviour, I'd just like to see him given a chance. You and your all seeing-eye maybe right, but you might be wrong?

Yes I could be wrong. It was a bad mistake to play Oxford imo, and i feel Bilic got caught up in the hype and then paid the price against Leicester. I dont feel the game is designed for kids anymore like 20+ years ago. Majority of players nowaday are built like monsters. Players are faster, stronger and fitter now.

Oxford is no wimp mate he's a proper unit. He would have played Oxford based upon what he did at Arsenal. I think the money has a lot to do with it. I remember seeing Ferdinand talking about cleaning players boots as an apprentice and how he bust his gut in training to get to the first team and then stay there. They're getting too much money and cars now and they haven't done anything yet, I don't think they're hungry enough IMO

I agree, he's a subdued figure on the pitch now, can I blame him, possibly not but it is time for him to move on, as you say I fully expected either Nolan or Noble to sort it out in the first half on Saturday, we were a shambles, not just at the back, the midfield was disjointed as well and all over the place, nobody wanted the ball, the tempo was walking speed and we had huge gaps all over the place. In the system that Bilic looks to want to play there isn't room for Nolan and I know I'm his biggest critic but in my opinion Noble can only play in a holding role, he looked even more vulnerable in an advanced position, to his credit he did well in the second half, demanded the ball at least. I don't know what you think but we don't seem to have the right players for the midfield formation he wants to play, no wide players so it's all too narrow and technically not good enough, except possibly Payet who I was particularly disappointed with as I was looking forward to seeing him. As for Kev I think he needs to drop a couple of divisions and do his coaching badges, I think with his organisation skills he could be a decent coach
