Kouyate Injury Update

According to Slaven, he will miss the start of the season, but does not need surgery. Apparently it was a freak training injury, non-contact. These things always worry me -- when a player goes down without any contact, it's often something pretty bad. The worst case in recent memory was Jack Collison; poor lad was never the same after and his promising career was cut way too short. Here's wishing Kouyate well and hope he makes a complete recovery. Oh, and don't let him get anywhere NEAR any Senegalese massage physiotherapists!!!!

innocuouse training injury turns into a lengthy lay off...there i said it..we seem cursed so no kouyate/antonio/carroll/sak/reid to start the season and i agree with you ashes it is a worry when no contact is made...glad to see even when we have moved to "state of the art training facilities" the injuries keep coming...maybe padding the walls of the indoor training area and having players run on nice super soft cotton wall will help stop this

Yeah I heard that ashes, I really felt for Jack and Deano after their injuries. They were far too good to be retiring so early in life and both seem good people.

I think we were playing Millwall in a cup match, and his dad had been killed in a motorcycle accident on the way to see the match, JC still played -- what an unbelievable great heart he has.

Wilshire is too injury prone. We've got enough for mid-table now. If SUGO want to take a punt on a midfielder, let them look for a potential diamond in the rough. That's their MO anyway, so they should enjoy it.
