yes I mean Payet......so two months away from the jan transfer window and the rumours have started again with the usual "Payets not ruled out a January move" "Bilic pleading with him to stay".......if there is any truth in any of it then let him go...he has not been the same player this season loss of form? or seeking riches else where? if anything it would probably been the latter because he does not seem to have a problem when playing for France.
Lanzini whilst not at his best either this season could well grow into the role we expect Payet to play.....Also when we hear gold/Sullivan bleating about the jan transfer window is not good because of the inflated prices you have to pay well if you had not spent all summer harping on about "marquis signing" and actually done your work quietly(never happen)instead of in the end grasping at straws and trying to do things on the cheap...tore/zaza have been a total disaster and thankfully they are only loan deals but more worryingly is they were both players that Slav had wanted and fought for......we need some players with fight and determination because to many do not in the current squad...by the time the transfer wndow opens we are going to have to be active and quickly as the relegation dogfight we are in and make no doubt about that we are well and truly in it is going to be the hardest for many a year.....so sort out the Payet question quickly as we cannot afford to be distracted by this as the season goes on.

Nobody is bigger than the club...if he wants to go let him, apart from the goal against boro,he has had a poor season to date..his free kicks & corners have been well below standard.if someone offers 40-50 mill bite their hand off & get some STEEL in the side!!

This is Dimi we are talking about, our best player by a mile. Until I actually see the complete transcript of his direct discussions with a French press outfit I prefer to remain very neutral on the subject. Remember the media really have it in for our beloved club at the moment and this is just more of the same. Probably some prat has misinterpreted the French translation! This guy ,even at half steam, is more effective than any others this season. Lanzini has potential but no way is he in the same league yet. We got a real world class diamond last season for paste money, lets just see what happens folks before we all turn on the best player to wear the claret n' blue since Tevez IMO.

it started at the Watford game, he was at his best going along at 2 up, then it all seemed to go tits up then the press started on about the showboating, I think he lost it after that. Your thoughts?

I think is the the cause of our current plight...we were playing them of the park cruising at 2-0 it should of been more but we all rmbr what happened and from that moment on the side have just not had any confidence in there football....and yes payet to seems to of gone into his shell with only rare glimpses of his ability.

Oh leave off. Hes created the most chances in europe. The new system doesnt suit him or lanzini and without a striker theres only so much he can do.

I don't like players who are made to feel 'untouchable' by management. Bilic should have taken him off on Saturday and in other games this season as he is not pulling his weight and it's not acceptable. I watched him Saturday give the ball away and he couldn't be bothered to try getting back behind the ball to help the Team. Maybe we are seeing what his previous clubs experienced, and the reason that the big boys aren't interested? Don't want to lose him but he has to improve his game and his attitude.

Whilst he clearly hasn't reached the heights of last season, I think getting rid is a bit strong. Noble has said on several occasions that having him in the team gives everyone a lift. Obviously from that statement we'd be bottom if it wasn't for Dimi. Admittedly though it can be a little galling when you try and inspire but half the poxy team are playing as if they've staggered out of the pub at closing. The idea is to move the ball forward where the oppositions goal is, so can someone ask Mark why the f*** he always passes sideways or backwards, even when options are on? Also why does Mikhail run with his head down all the time and not look for a pass to a teammate. You're not going to beat 5 players every time, every game!! Gone from having no RB at the end of last season to having no RB full stop!!! What was the point in buying Byram? Let's be clear though. Having no forward, and by that I mean a forward that can put the ball in the back of the net is a massive issue and cannot be overlooked. If either Carroll or Sakho was fit they'd be playing and would do a job. They've done it before they'll do it again. We've bought, unfortunately, players in attacking positions that can't attack. Feghouli, Gore, Zaza, Calleri, FFS (no he's not a player), there's no competition for places as would have been expected and a couple of bad results have caused some nerves to fray and we're in a bit of a slump. Hopefully, fingers crossed, rabbits foot rubbed we have one or both of the aforementioned strikers fit for our game in a couple of weeks. We should then see some improvement
